My daughter will get continuous hiccups, has tried all the home remedies. I saw this and it had good reviews, so I got it for her as a gift. She just had occasion to try it and said it worked on the first try! Definitely a keeper!

Saw on Shark Tank and bought it in hopes that it would help with my significant other’s hiccups (his last forever and really hurt him). We have both used the straw, along with our daughter and son, and we have all had success with it. It is terrific! It is also really easy to carry around although I do wish it came with a carrying case/bag. I know that is perhaps an odd comment that I carry this straw around in me 24/7 (lol) but I store mine in my purse and am considering actually getting another one (maybe even more) so that we have them at home and on-the-go for when the hiccups hit (like I said, hiccups are unusually painful for my SO, having this on-hand has proven to be a great relief to him). As mentioned, it would be great if they could actually send it with a pouch to keep it in but for the price and the benefit, this has been amazing and is absolutely worth it. Fyi, I also hear it helps with “cancer hiccups”. I do not know this from personal experience but saw comments on the SubReddit for Shark Tank when I was considering purchasing the product that conveyed how grateful purchasers were to provide a loved one battling cancer with this straw that greatly decreased the time the patient was hiccuping. I thought that was pretty amazing if it could work for people with cancer. Thankfully my wonderful nephew had JUST “beat” cancer before I came across this product but I really wish I had came across this item so much sooner so that I could have purchased it for him since, when I asked him if “cancer hiccups” were a “thing” (not trying to be rude, you hopefully understand what I mean as he did), he confirmed that these dreadful nuisances were absolutely real. Apparently they had actually caused him a lot of additional discomfort and so I really wish I’d known to get them but I will from now on and hopefully these straws will somehow become mainstream in hospitals and related fields. We are still amazed every time it promptly “cures” the hiccups. My SO has tried so many different remedies (granted, I’m not sure he’s ever found another product that claimed to do what this one does so I think it’s just been stuff he found online to try when hiccups hit him) and this is the only thing that has worked. The fact that I’m writing a long review means that it impacted us, positively in this case, enough that I felt I needed to share our experiences with those considering because it has just been such a huge help to us. I recommend this to anyone who is seeking relief and hasn’t gotten results elsewhere. IMO, this is actually a super cheap price to pay for the great value it provides in taking away discomfort consistently. This worked INSTANTLY, and I am blown away. I get hiccups constantly, to the point of pain, and they will last hours. This worked the first time!!!! I will be buying more to stash in the car and work.

I was admittedly skeptical at first but I gotta say, I was SO wrong because this thing is SO right. Wow. I mean, it's instant relief. I get the hiccups sometimes and they'll last for way longer than what's considered typical (whatever that is) and they kind of hurt sometimes too. This straw, after one sip, makes them disappear in what feels a miraculous way! If I could give 100 stars, I wouldn't hesitate.

This seems like a good idea and good product but unfortunately it didn't work for me but my hiccups are from a medical condition and I've had them for 20 years but I was hopeful.

My wife just had the opportunity to use this since purchasing & it worked perfectly the first time without fail. She has trouble with having hiccups for literally hours with any of the multitude of remedies being unsuccessful. Worked immediately & later in the evening when they returned, one sip without fail again. If we could put ten stars, we would!

This product might be okay for regular hiccups. My hiccups are caused from damaged nerves and go uninterrupted for days. My doctor tried different solutions to no avail. The only solution to give temporary relief was pretty strange. My Asian wife said a simple cure she learned was to take a small piece of paper towel and soak it in cold water. Then stick the towel on your forehead. This actually worked until the water drys up and the towel falls off. So you repeat the process to stop the hiccups until you get tired enough to get some sleep. I bought this straw to try to see if it would work instead of looking dorky having a piece of paper on my forehead all the time. It didn’t work for my condition.

I wanted this product to work, but unfortunately my experience with the HICCAWAY Hiccup Straw was disappointing. Quality: The straw itself feels well made and durable. It doesn’t feel flimsy, and the design appears intentional and thoughtfully constructed. From a materials standpoint, there’s nothing negative to say—it seems like a solid, well-produced product. Ease of use: The instructions are clear, simple, and intuitive. It’s easy to understand how to use the straw, and there’s no learning curve. From an ease-of-use perspective, this is one of the product’s strengths. Impact: Unfortunately, it did not work for me. My hiccups did not stop after using the straw as directed. I want to add an important caveat: I am a cancer patient, and my hiccups were caused by a medication side effect—specifically Zofran. In my case, the straw had no effect at all on relieving the hiccups. My experience is very specific to being a cancer patient dealing with medication-induced hiccups. If your hiccups are also a side effect of chemotherapy or medications like Zofran, I would not rely on this product and would strongly recommend consulting your doctor instead. While it may work for others with typical hiccups, it was not effective in my situation.

I have had hiccups every day for eight years. My only relief has been when I sleep. The HiccAway does not cure hiccups but it does provide some relief. It is important to drink at least one full glass of water when using the device. In my case, there is a bit of delay before the hiccups actually stop. Good product and good service!

It's completely failed in it's objective of stopping hiccups. I tried many many times as directed. Please don't waste your money
