First, we chose another microwave turntable motor here on Amazon for three times the money, and with plastic mechanisms, and after installation, it was nonoperational: it didn't work. Moreover, I contacted the seller, but didn't get a reply.After doing more thorough research, we decided and bought the BLUE STAR "UPDATED" microwave motor.First, look at the unit: all metal construction, no plastic. The center rod is metal, not plastic and it's an exact fit and plugs into factory plug when installed.Yah!Installation was very simple, first, UNPLUG the microwave. Open the microwave door, take out the glass turntable plate, pull and remove the center mechanism, close the door.Now, turn the unit over, with the bottom of the microwave facing you. Take out and remove the cover center plate at the bottom, then locate the motor, unscrew the one screw, by using a Phillips screwdriver, unplug both wires, then reverse the process and done.Yah!The BLUE STAR worked and my lady was extremely happy, especially being on Valentine's Day, where she really needed it.

As the headline states, the motor did work on my GE Microwave (Model #PEB7226DF2BB). Also, the motor's shaft is shorter than the OEM motor, which means the stock coupler would not connect to this motor after installation. Didn't get around to installing this right away and I'm a week past the return period. so I won't get my $8 back, but hopefully this saves someone else the headache of dealing with a similar situation. Installed OEM motor which works perfectly.
