GE 10 Gallon Electric Water Heater — GE10P08BAR

I installed this unit in a detached office from my house to replace a much larger water heater. I really didn't need a lot of capacity so this filled the bill. So far it's working great, and it was easy to install due to its small size. I had to turn it up a bit from the factory setting in order for it to provide hotter water.

I installed it easily for a outdoor shower and can take a good 10 minutes plus with good hot water.

I used this in a shed in my backyard for an outdoor shower. I made the cold water inlet come from my outdoor hose and had the hot water outlet go to the outdoor shower. I turned the thermostat to just about 125 degrees and this thing works EXCELLENT!!

Good value, easy install, and General Electric quality. Amazon sold and shipped the water heater to my door for 25% less then the cost at a big box store. Everything was included and I was able to install the water heater in less than an hour. It was a new install in a tiny house. It is a ten gallon unit; therefore, you can take a quick shower. For perspective an average RV water heater is 5 to 7 gallons. The water heater does not take up a lot of space. I can take a shower in the early morning and my wife can take her shower a few hours later so it works great for us.

So, you need Hot Water for your small apartment or house, or you Master Bath is on the other side of your house from your main water heater and never gets hot water? This little critter is the solution to the problem! It's easy to install with the minimum of knowledge. All you'll need is a Crescent Wrench, Channel Locks, Phillips and Flat Head screwdriver. All needed parts, including nipples, are included! (Hoses extra if needed) It will get water extremely hot if you max out the thermostat, which I had to back off a little. And for those that wondering if it can supply enough hot water for a good shower, YES! But then, my showers only last 4-6 minutes... But water is hot the entire time. It takes about 1hr 30min to heat up from cold start. Which is to be expected. So why the 4 star rating? Well, it's not the most energy efficient water heater out there, but it is 120v and you can simply unplug it when you don't need the boost!

A simple solution for an outdoor shower. Plenty of capacity for a long, hot, outdoor shower on a cold day. Easy to install with a regular 120 plug.

Works descent so far for spaced out showering. Pricey though it does have 6 yr warranty

Installed in the basement below my kitchen, it provides plenty of hot water for sink and dishwasher. Also, good for a quick shower. If you are not a big hot water user, this unit should suffice.
