I used this for a knee injury when I crashed on my bike . I had a sore on the knee cap and some fluid around the knee . It helped heal the sore and the warmth helped the movement of the knee .

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased a few red light therapy devices with wires attached. It was so annoying when the wires disconnected easily. In addition some of the lights would stop working. This device is well made and doesn’t have the challenges of that those other devices have. Knock on wood, hopefully I’m not speaking too soon. There is warranty with the device, so that part is great.Main reason for my purchase was to help me with my knee pain. It took a few months of dedicated use, but it helped. I don’t have crackling knees anymore. :)I have included a short video on how to use it.

I was a bit skeptical about infra red therapy and whether it was just some pseudo science. You would think a bunch of LED's wouldn't have much affect, but I guess I was wrong. This is a simple fit knee wrap, with a strap above and below the knee. The inside has a large array of LED bulbs. The exterior just has a plastic pad, which the control box/battery magnetically attaches to. The control box has just a few controls, which power it on/off, adjusts the brightness of the LEDs, flickering mode, timer, and turns on the visible red light and/or the infrared lights. I just use the basic settings of both types of LEDs on at the same time, with a steady light, and medium to highest brightness. I strapped it around my knee and did some computer work for 30 minutes before I got up and it was surprising how different each knee felt. I then walked up and down some stairs, and the knee with the light therapy strap moved like it was oiled compared to my other knee. There is actually a physical difference in sensation so I think red light therapy actually does help with muscle issues deeper than skin level.

All the lights work and the pad heats up. However, the lights dig into to my knee so I have to put the pad on loosely so it doesn't hurt. It would be much better if the lights were recessed into the knee pad.

I'm not sure if Red Light Therapy is really all that it's cracked up to be. I've given this wrap a good show at things trying to see if it was any better than some other knee wraps with various other gimmicks I've used. And honestly, I'm not sure I would actively seek this out if I were looking for another brace in the future. I just don't feel like I'm seeing any benefits from the Red Light Therapy aspect of this. This brace is good, but I could get a good brace for a fraction of the price as this is. Maybe for some, the gimmick here is worth it. But honestly I think you might be better off with a different brace.
