Now my tool belt is complete!!
The media could not be loaded. The tectonic tech locking tape measure is a perfect addition to my tool belt. The tape measure is 25 ft. in length. Here are my favorite features:The numbers for inches and centimeters are very large and easy to read. This is rate especially for centimeters. I don't have to put on my glasses to see the measurements.Another great feature is the bottom button that holds the tape out temporarily. This is in addition to the large button on the front that will lock the tape in place. The tape measure is substantial and is weighted nicely. It isn't too heavy though to be clipped on a belt with the metal belt clip, or hang around my wrist with the wrist strap. The belt clip is sturdy and the tape measure stays in place without wiggling too much.It is a great tape measure, I use it a lot and love it. I highly recommend it.

Irritatingly rugged, quick-lock is worthless half the time.
I'm disappointed that it's just a beefier copy of what was invented 40 years - but worse. Auto-locking tape measures have already been around for at least a decade and this tape measure design went through the extra expense of adding a "quick-lock" button which is absolutely worthless compared to an auto-lock. Why? Because the slide-lock on top is so HARD to press down you can't always do it with your thumb depending on the angle or location you're using the tape measure - so you can't keep your finger on the quick-lock. The damn thing is heavy too - I've have Stanley measures made 30 years ago that are still holding up with metal bodies AND easier slide-locks that weigh a 2 or 3 ounces less. They don't make those like they used to. New stuff like this not even measuring up to that is a big disappointment (no pun unintended) when everyone is giving it high praise. Just bought the thing for metric...oh well. Here's the business plan for putting all these tape measure companies in the dust bin:3 models: 8m, 5m, and 3m (metric and stupid imperial on the other side I guess). Built like the old Stanleys but with auto-lock and metric on one side. Done.

Very durable + nice features
This tape measure has a rubber coating that is great at preventing it from rolling down slopes or uneven surfaces. It's super durable feeling and is a decent weight so when placed on the floor it won't come with you while attempting to measure. As an added feature bonus it comes with a leash so you can attach it or easily carry it without the risk of losing or dropping. It also has a belt clip if so inclined. The bottom quick release is also very useful for one handed applications. Thank you! Great product.

You can't easily find these in brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S. -- happy to get it at this price, with Prime shipping!
Metric and Imperial is exactly what I wanted, feels like good quality construction and materials (though I am not a professional and don't use it every day or even every week).

Measuring tape
The tab at the end is to smooth. Needs to have edges that allows it to hold onto wood.
