Quad Core (M4 Pro)

I already had the Luoran M4 mp3 player and while really happy with it, I was looking for something with music apps already built in and was delighted when I heard Luoran had released the M4 pro and ordered straight away. I live in the UK and unfortunately Luoran are not sold here so I had to use the USA Amazon site and just wait a bit longer for it to arrive but as with the M4, I was not dissappointed. I have added pics to show whats in the box etc and the player display but the first thing you notice is its weight and build quality with a metal casing (most UK ones are plastic) and it comes with a protective case and sleeve protector which is great for me as I use it at the gym mainly. It is very similar display to the M4 and has a touchscreen display and runs Android so comes with clock, calculator etc and has settings menu that allows you to customise it how you like. Music can be added using PC / bluetooth / WIFI etc but I just use the computer and drag and drop my files and have had no issues with this. It comes with 16gb internal memory and you can add up to 512gb SD card I think or maybe 1Tb which is even better ( I use a Sandisk 256gb card and have had no problems ) and I have around 40gb of music on it which have saved and stored fine. The player also reads the album art and has all the pictures / labels etc and you can sort music through songs, artists etc. It also has customizable graphic EQ aswell as shuffle, repeat functions, playlists etc which allows you to set up your music collection just how you like it. I have it paired with my bluetooth IEMs and DJ headphones and it pairs up instantly with a solid connection and a good battery life, charged up with USB cable supplied. The big bonus and difference to M4 is that it is already loaded with music apps like spotify, tidal and you can just sync your stuff with that and it also has a set up for ebooks with audible though I have not tried this tbf. It comes installed with default offline music app called poweramp which is great and has loads of settings but I am quite old school and just like the stock android music player which does me fine and comes in three skins which is great if you have vision probs like me and like it set to dark :) The player itself is excellent and is also back up by superb customer service as I had a few questions around the settings etc and emailed the tech team at Luoran. Despite this being overseas, I received a reply within a day and have had great support from them whenever I have had questions. This is important and shows they stand by their product and will also help you if you need it as the instruction manual is adequate but basic, like all players. Only thing that would make this the perfect player would be the function to install your own apps like YT etc but I have heard that this may be in the pipeline so lets hope so! Overall I cant recommend the player (or the M4) highly enough or praise the tech staff enough for their after sales support, if you are looking for a quality mp3 player with built in music apps for a good price then you cant get much better than the Luoran M4 pro!

At first, I was unable to figure out how to even operate this thing. Once I started to figure things out though, I realized how much comes packed in such a small case. The sound quality from the tiny speaker inside is about as good as you can get with that size, but I don't use that anyway. Next, all of the apps/features are just off the chart. Everything I need to entertain myself for a short trip or a few hour in the garage is right there. Get plenty of extras with it as well, a few attachments to assist in charging or wirelessly download, ear buds, apps... Only reason that I gave the interface 4 stars was trying to put music files on it was a bit rough. No instructions came with it. I did contact customer support and they were AMAZING! I never waited more than a few hours for a response and the information was generally helpful. I would buy again anytime, but this time I know a bit more about how to work it :)

Another update.... Just letting everyone know that my unit died. I didn't use it much since I purchased it. So, it mostly sat around unused, then would not charge. This is an update to my original post.... Well the first player had weird battery problems and became finicky with its touch interface. The device would unexpectantly shut down. So, I did a return replacement through amazon. The replacement is very smooth and the battery life on this one is amazing. I guess part of the weight of the device is due to the large battery inside it. As, mentioned in my original post, I am using it largely to control my sonos system. My music files are housed on a PC that sonos connects to so to play music on the PC, I can just pick up the little Luoran and choose what I want to hear. I keep the Sonos player on the screen, so the it is quick and pretty seamless. So, great little device if you get a good one. Original post ... I bought this player because I wanted a player with at least android 8. I wanted it to run my sonos app which needs 8.0. The player does work with sonos. It doesn't come with the play store, so, it is still a bit crippled with app installation. You do have the ability to download apps from other sites. Once downloaded, the built in installer works to add the app. The player is a nice size and the build quality is quite high. However, in my opinion, the build is also a limitation. Although the player is compact, it's a heavy little brick. It has a metal frame with glass on both sides. That all gives it a premium look. But it adds to its weight. I would prefer to skip the heavy frame and glass for lighter material options so that it is more comfortable to carry in my pocket. My other complaint is the same issue that I have found with most of these little players. That is the bluetooth is fairly weak. When I put it in my pocket, the bluetooth becomes shaky. As I mentioned, this seems to be the Achilles heal for most of these small players. Bottom line for me is that if it was lighter, skipped the glass backing, had stronger bluetooth, and included the play store, it would be a real winner.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter. The first device we received, the Spotify app wouldn’t lett us log in to our account. After contacting customer service, I was sent a link to transfer a new Spotify app to the device. I was not able to do so with my home Chromebook. The instructions given were fairly vague and I’m not the most tech savvy person. After reaching out to customer service again they offered to send a new device. Happy to say the new device arrived within a couple days and all apps work well! My daughter is very happy!!

MP3 player was ok but then ran into issues. The mp3 player comes without up to date apps, I just realised this when Spotify stopped working properly. I had to contact luoran and ask them about this and they sent an apk for Spotify to be updated. If you ever have to update an app on this, transfer the apk through Bluetooth as usb doesn’t work. Luoran offered me a refund of $30 or they could send another device. I asked if the could send another device, one that was up to date and they said yes, but then backtracked when I told them the U.K. address and they told me they don’t operate in the U.K. anymore as they were shut down. I asked for the refund instead of the replacement and they said ok but then backtracked due to them not operating in the U.K. anymore. As their U.K. account has been suspended. If looking for a mp3 player than can use Spotify etc look for another one other than Luoran as they no longer operate in the U.K as they’ve said themselves. They’ve been 1 shut down, and 2 their account has been suspended.

Al principio fue desepcionante el sonido, pocos bajos y poco volumen, al insertar le tarjeta micro sd de 258 gb en automático jalo mi música y videos, no se alenta ni se traba, y la música aumentó en volumen y los bajos más profundos, ahora tengo que bajar el volumen para disfrutar de mi música, ampliamente recomendable.
