I am not sure what previous people have expected from BAMBOO BOWLS. DO NOT put these in the dishwasher. It is bamboo wood. Color will naturally vary. "Two toned", it is probably from shadows taking the product picture. That aside, it is barely 'two toned' in the picture. Shyza people - grow some brain cells. 19 bucks for two LARGE bamboo bowls is a solid deal.

I made pasta with olive oil and garlic. Used this bowl to serve. The oil leaked right the through the wooden bowl. This bowl is only good for dry goods. Chips, or salad with no dressing on it. Quite disappointed

Obviously not the intended use, but was a fun project and it came out very well.

Unfortunately, I had to send them back because they were too big for what I was using them for. But they are well made and very pretty.
