For my first ever cross stitch project it was great to get everything I needed. I had plenty of thread left when I was done, even using the recommended three strands. The needle held up fine, though it got a little bent. I'd recommend a kit to anyone wanting to dabble in cross stitch.

Great project for a beginner! My 12 yr old loved making this. She gave it to her favorite teacher as a gift.

Perfect hobby for my 10 year old daughter

Perfect starter cross stitch for a 10 year old. Easy to learn and fairly quick to do.

I bought one for my 13YO granddaughter and one for myself and examined it before giving it. The fabric is very stiff and I could not fit it into the black hoop frame that you use when it is finished. It kept popping out, even though I tightened it. I've done cross-stitch before on softer fabric. Did anyone try to put it into a larger hoop to hold it taut while working on it, or can you stitch it while holding it in your hand? Are there any tricks to using this product? Help!

I gave this to my newly six year old son and showed him how to follow the graph and count the stitches. This is a COUNTED cross stitch- not stamped! He took to it immediately and did it all with very little assistance other than threading the needle.

The pattern isn't printed on the fabric. There is a template, but depending on the child's age and experience; it could be hard to follow. I ended up drawing the pattern on with marker, for my ten year old.

The needle broke while my daughter was threading it. Not good quality.
