Confirmed Longevity, and then some
Bought these in 2017 for a BoB. Was recently reviewing the contents because it was long past due. Noticed these glow sticks just expired in Oct 2022. So I decided to check how bad they were given the expiration. I was pleasantly surprised to see they still strike a light upon first crack and glow pretty damn well considering their age. Let the photos speak for themselves. I would also add that I noticed the interior of the wrapper is black. I can only imagine that helps packaging with light exposure. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this product considering it outdid its own printed life expectancy. Running a time trial, but almost moot now that I know this is expired.

Long duration, useful light 8-12 hours visible for much more
These were visible even into the second day. They are a great safe supply of light. I keep them on the quad and the boat for emergencies. They are real handy for breakdown repairs when you can't use you other powered sources. I have also gone camping using only these for light. They aren't a lantern but take no space and last all night.

Dim and useless
Highly disappointed. They produce light for about 15-20 minutes, and then they sort of put off a soft glow for a little while. These are far inferior.

Lights out
Keep one next to your bed or other place, so when the light our out, bend and shack to find your trip. Better than stub toe.

My kits are geared up for everything now.
Have not had to try them out yet. Put a few in my emergency first aid kit in my car. Put a couple in my night stand. And a couple in my road side tool kit i n my car.
