I bought this for my husband because he is on the go with his paperwork and was very unorganized. He loves it and has already adapted to carrying this with him and cant imagine what he ever did without it. His office has order sheets the size as a legal pad and it was important to find something that the paperwork would fit in without folding and this is perfect. The clip board is nice and the pencil caddy is brilliant! Love it as it is very sturdy and well made.

I bought this clipboard for nursing clinicals. I can fit my pens, stethoscope, temporal thermometer, oximeter, keys, and even a small snack in it with paperwork for the day. It is made of lightweight material, but not so lightweight that you need to worry about it falling apart or breaking. My clipboard was tested the other day for its ability to withstand abuse. I set it down on a not quite level surface and before I knew it it had fallen 4' to the ground, popping open, and throwing everything inside it all over the place. The clipboard still works, and closes properly. The only evidence that it crashed to the floor is a small 1" dent in the middle of the top.

Painted aluminum which I think will work good. No metal rubbing off on stuff like bare aluminum can do.

So this is a really good clipboard for patrol officers. Plenty of space for reports and tickets. Pens and what else you can fit it there. When the clipboard is open it is a little flimsy feeling but and too as you close it up it feels pretty solid. The good thing is that you only have it open to pull a report out then close it up and start writing. Paperwork every officers favorite part of the job... (ya about that)It is durable and gets banged up in the patrol bag or slides off the hood of the patrol car but has managed to stay together. Its light until all that paperwork and pens and tickets are in there even then its pretty light... now only if we could just find a way to get rid of all that paperwork.Overall a really good product. I only have one suggestion. There is a little piece of metal on the clip that you turn and use to open the clip up and slide that paperwork in. I wish they would and another piece of metal on it so you can slid an ID/DL in to it would really be a nice addition to an over all good product.

Purchased this for my husband who works with Fish and Game and treks through the woods routinely. This clipboard held up well. Added bonus, if space is an issue the inside fits small items. The metal isn't overly thick, which helps as it's not overly heavy. The clip to hold paper in is strong. The latch for the compartment works just fine. It's not a water proof mechanism to begin with, so submerging it in water will definitely not hold up.

Very lightweight and very durable. Husband is a truck driver and uses this for his paperwork. He has dropped it and many other things and it’s still in good shape so definitely durable and sturdy!!

I use this every day and it holds up so far.

At the time of writing this review I purchased this clipboard on Amazon for just under $22 USD. This same clipboard is on the Office Depot/OfficeMax website for $38+ USD (at the time of writing this review). Be a smart online shopper and take the extra few minutes to check prices like I did.The listing pictures can be a bit deceiving as this clipboard is painted a dull grey. I have other aluminum clipboards that have just a brushed finish (pure aluminum or coated with a clear coat paint). See the pictures I am posting for details on the item I received. Not a deal breaker, but truth in advertising is a standard that should be held not lowered in the online marketplace.The clipboard arrived very quickly, far in advance of the estimated shipping time by at least a day. At this time OfficeMax/Office Depot are having their 'back to school' sales rush so maybe that's why. Either way the item arrived in a prompt manner and was in perfect condition, no dents or flaws.The material of this clipboard is a bit thin. It should be fine for handing off a form to be signed (for truckers and delivery drivers for example) but I wouldn't put too much faith in it's capacity to hold things that need extensive writing. I certainly wouldn't want to write on the lid unless it was closed and the frame was helping keep it stable with support. In comparison to my much more *ahem* quality clipboard I'd say this is about half as thick. It should do the job for the purpose I have intended, but if you're buying this for durability I'd say this is 50/50. Much better than the el-cheapo plastic ones but significantly less durable than more expensive offerings. In some instances you get what you pay for, and unfortunately decent aluminum clipboard cases can be pretty pricey.The best thing I like about this clipboard is the depth. Although not specified in the listing the case is 1.5" deep. And if you think about it that's pretty dang deep - you could fit over half a ream of paper in there! So for those purchasing this to handle light paperwork with some tools/etc (like nurses who want to put a stethoscope or digi-thermometer and some other things in with their charts) then this would be darn near perfect for you.The clip on the front is nice, strong, and compact but it *does* protrude from the case. So if you're looking for something that can be stowed away flat then sorry this isn't the clipboard you're looking for. It also isn't huge (height-wise) and although it can easily handle a legal pad or similar amount of paper it's certainly not good for a thick manual.The tray in the bottom of the clipboard is why I really bought this item. Being able to store pens, a small ruler, and even a mini stapler is pretty nice. Since I'm not planning on using it for anything overly industrious, and merely to store related materials and items all together - this item will be perfect.The clip at the bottom keeping the lid from opening is a nice feature. My higher quality (thicker, more durable, different style altogether) aluminum clipboard case doesn't have this feature and I'm pleased this one does. Alongside the tray at the bottom these two unique features compliment each other very nicely!Overall I give this item 3/5 stars. I don't give 5 star reviews unless something is super awesome, and although the price was right and this item is perfect for what I'm going to use it for I just don't feel that this item is such that it deserves 4 stars. For the price I paid for it I'd be willing to go 3.5, but it *is* kinda weak sauce. Perfect for office/lab work and light duty industry (like deliveries) but will quickly bend/deform under heavy loads. If you fit into one of these categories then I recommend you buy it!

Good product for construction industry. Husband very happy with for his paper work and logs. Right size, wearing well. He has had for a while now. Will keep on list whenever he needs a new one.

la forma del clip es un poco incomoda, pero esta funcional. El cierre no es tan hermetico y queda algo flojo.

Does exactly what it need to and fits a lot of items inside!
