I bought the latest Gen 3 Ring doorbell with 4k resolution, but I wasn’t replacing a doorbell so there was no transformer or power source existing. I did have access to a plug on the other side of the door, so I needed a powerful transformer to power the camera. I was surprised that the wire seemed thin, but I hooked it all up and it worked perfectly. I’ve had no power issues and the doorbell has worked flawlessly. The long wire was very helpful so I could hide as much of the line as possible.

WORKS GREAT LIKE ITS SUPOSED TO

The charger presumably was working great. The issue I ran into was the cold. The area I live in was getting very cold at night, and it looks like that was causing the battery not to charge properly, or discharge faster possibly. The battery was lasting a lot longer than it was before, without question. Though it was still draining slowly. I ended up buying a wired Ring doorbell instead and that has been working perfectly. Of course, that means no battery backup, but I will likely move the other one to another door at some point and grab another of these chargers to charge it. I would give the product 5 stars, but I just don't have a way to test if it was truly the ring doorbell, or if this was somehow not charging it fast enough. I lean more toward the doorbell, but again cannot test that, at least not quite yet.

Great. I love my ring. Easy set up for non tech folks. You don’t have to be mechanically incline. All you need is this ring & download the app.

No Good. Installed, only worked about a week. I should have installed immediately after I got it. When I finally had time to install it, a week later it stopped charging the Ring camera battery. It was too late to send back. I ordered another brand and haven’t installed it yet.

Compré este transformador, pensé que el Ein funcionaría sin batería pero lo que en realidad hace es cargar la batería del ring. Si lo dejo conectado y quito la batería, este no funciona.
