Worked well.
A little expensive for what it is but works well and nothing else out there like it.

This is the last one I will purchase.
The media could not be loaded. I am a certified Home Inspector with InterNACHI. I have inspected many boat docks in 2021 and 4 of them had electrical current bleeding into the water. ESD (Electric Shock Drowning) is becoming more and more common on freshwater lakes and pools & hot tubs. I would have never found this electrical current if it wasn't for this outstanding product Shock Alert. However, this is the 3rd unit I have gotten from this company. All three quit working after 3-4 months.I now have had this unit for less than a year. Up until this month, it has worked well. However, It has ceased working properly. The unit will not stay on. I change the batteries every other time I use it but it still will not flash green after I turn it on and it goes through the start-up cycle.I will no longer order shock alert for my business. A return and reimbursement would be nice.

Safety first.
According to US Consumer Product Safety Commission, 33 people died and 33 people were injured over a 17 yr period ( electrocution statistics). 390 drowning deaths annually as per CSPC. The number of electrocution deaths seems small compared to other causes ( .5% ).If you put floaties on your little ones, monitor your pool chemicals, and do all the of those things to make your pool safe, this product is reasonable. It measures electrical current way below “ nuisance electrocution “ which may show electrical leak problems before they become a REAL problem. I check periodically, after every electrical repair in the pool circuit and specially if the GFCI has been triggered. The cost spread over a several years even make this product a must for concerns over safety.

Life saver when working but fails easily.
We use this product when inspecting the electrical systems at marinas. It is very sensitive and easily to use. It is poorly designed in that water can penetrate the unit. The battery compartment is accessible from the bottom (which is underwater during use). The gasketing does not keep water out. After two of these failed, we started applying silicon sealer along the battery compartment seams once new batteries were installed. It works until new batteries are required on an inspection site and no sealer is available or no time for the sealer to dry. We are engineers and rate the unit's operation a 10 but rate the product design a .5 out of 10.

Very sensitive
This is easy to use. The good and the bad is that is VERY sensitive. If my dock is plugged in, this goes off because the dock is grounded and the lake we are in apparently has underground cables. I brought my electrician out to make sure there was not a hazard and he found no electricity. He used the testers In the water and on the boat lift metal, etc. No issues. So, this really only gives a true reason g if my dock is not plugged in - which kind of defeats the purpose.

We live on a lake for fun not sorrow
You must have one of these to insure the safety of friends and family swimming around your dock. It is also handy to insure that the electrician did fix the problem that the local VFD found with your dock. The local VFD (inspection using one of these was free here in Virginia) said that 70% of the docks they check fail because they show electrical leakage into the water. I want as much control of my life as possible, and so, I had to have my own tester so that I could test the waters around my dock every spring at the start of swimming season. We live on a lake for fun not sorrow.

It works but when it stopped working was told no repair just purchase again
I used this product in 2018 to find I did have some current in the pool and my electrician found the issue. I removed the batteries and made sure no water had made it way into the compartment area and stored it until recently.I had a new electrical box installed and the pool shed rewired and wanted to test the pool. Put in new batteries and it will beep but never goes green. I contacted support and they told me they don't offer repairs just advised to purchase new, not even a discount.
