Saved my favorite jacket !
This kit has saved my favorite jacket, a heavy cotton canvas military type I bought from Cotton traders many years ago its very well made and they no longer do one this high quality .So I had to repair just the zip on the end. see photo to save it. I used the pliers supplied also pointed pliers ,its a bit fiddly so you need to take your time, I have arthritis in my hands and managed ok. I had to remove 3 teeth with pointed pliers ,just yanked them out ! to give me something to attach the new slider part too....the extra length one side when its done up makes no difference overall. First I carefully applied some super glue to the cloth to stiffen it up so as to slide the new part on, after that I carefully used the pliers supplied and my pointed ones to squeeze it together ,not too hard or else it will deform and not fit into the slider pocket. After fitting I used more super glue carefully to make sure. I cut off excess superglue that was preventing it sliding. I applied some silicone grease to help it. Works perfectly now and saved me buying another jacket of the same quality, where I don't know. I was surprised to find this kit on Amazon, its seems they sell everything!

Quick fix
I had to purchase this last minute as my son broke his zip on his brand new coat at school. Thank goodness for this kit as it did the trick, the only thing missing was some glue to secure it. It comes with some pliers which are helpful and a number of different sizes to choose from. Recommended for a quick fix

It worked
I have a 20 year old favourite fleece jacket. The zip broke a couple of weeks ago. It turns out that the bottom zipper stopper had fallen off - and that this is easily fixed. As shown in the photo. This kit contained the missing part and the crimpers get it fixed it on good & firm. It’s not “as good as new” but I can wear it again.

Flimsy and unusable
Very thin brittle material. Pliers did not match those in the listing and the zip parts just broke when attempting to squeeze closed.

No zip sliders supplied, items in kit may not match existing slider.
I was unable to get any of the items to work in conjunction with the existing zip slider, and no zip sliders are supplied. On the plus side, I was left with a useful crimping tool.
