You need help for straighteners like this | Premium Brazilian Keratin Treatment Complex Blowout
This product works well. I used it on my cousin who has very thick, dense, wavy hair, probably about a 2C-3A. We basically used the entire bottle on her hair, which is waist length. I basically followed the steps and we got excellent results. I didn't do much different that I know of than the bottle listed, but I am a professional hairstylist and have taken a class in Brazilian blowouts, so I did feel the instructions were a little lacking. In general though, the kit worked well. The main thing that I wish a lot of these kits stated is that it is nearly impossible to get the proper results by doing this yourself. I see a lot of people saying it didn't work for them, and I am almost certain that is because you're doing something that's not properly smoothing the cuticle during the process. I'm going to assume this is most likely to happen when you're blow drying or combing through your hair. The cuticle absolutely must be pulled directly down and back in order to be flattened. This is VERY difficult to achieve on your own with no assistance, at least to the degree of expectation you will after doom-scrolling 16 hours of tiktoks on brazilian blowouts. This is why brazilian blowouts are $300. Yes, you can buy the product for yourself for $70, but the expert time, education, experience, and ability of the person doing your hair is what you're paying for.IF you are going to do this for yourself, please:-wear gloves-watch MANY hours of youtube videos by people who are actual cosmetologists/hairdressers.-find a friend that has great hair and enlist them as your assistant and blowout specialist-use a proper round brush-commit all the time necessary-follow the instructions-don't pull your cuticle backwards-prep your hair in the days before-google how to care for a brazilian blowout so you can properly maintain the effects as long as possible-know that most brazilian blowouts contain formaldehyde, even (and almost, especially) ones that claim they do not. The intense smell and headaches seen by some reviewers are only part of the physical effects you may experience from inhaling the fumes from formaldehyde at high temperatures. Doing this outdoors or in a well-ventilated area with a localized fan blowing air away from you is probably best. I am not saying this brand does or does not contain any specific chemical, but I am saying that you should use caution when using any hair straightening treatment as it's done at a high temperature.

Good (not amazing) results, but expensive and time-consuming. And is it really cruelty-free?
This product is a tricky one for me to review. There was some good and some bad in my experience with it, and I'm not quite sure where I land in the end. Keratin treatments generally do take time, and this one took me all afternoon. I have long hair--not super long, just about six inches below my shoulder--so I applied a fair bit of product, donned a conditioning hat, and did a few other things for the next hour before rinsing. And then I dried my hair, followed by straightening it with my flat iron. I went over all my hair a few times, trying to stick as closely to the directions as possible. And in the end my hair WAS much smoother and waaay shinier than it had been, for sure. But it didn't look as good as the product photos, of course, and I don't think it's quite worth its kind of high price.OGC, or Organic Care Cosmetics, says their products are cruelty-free, and I am inclined to believe them, but they aren't certified or endorsed by Leaping Bunny or PETA or any other animal rights organization that I can find. For me, that is usually a red flag. Add this to the price tag of this product, along with the complicated process of using it and results that are only marginally better than those I get from a really good hair mask and I just don't know how strongly to recommend it. If you are willing to put in some time, like a few hours, and really want the results promised, I'd say go for it. But you might want to invite a friend over to help you, 'cause that's a LOT of straightening required. And I would urge OGC to work with Leaping Bunny to certify their cruelty-free status. For now, I'll give this product a slightly generous four stars.

I didn't see that much change in a highlighted hair
I cant recommend the product to have super shiny and smooth hair after applying it

Works so far
Still testing this out.Used it recently.A little different to use than others I’ve tried.I wasn’t sure to use this on wet hair or dry hair. It wasn’t really specific on the back of bottle. So I used this on dry hair. The product smelled not my favorite( when applying, but washing out the smell was fine.I used gloves & recommend you do as well. Almost all keratin treatments burns stings my hands and my skin when it touches. I left it on for an hour wrapped in a hair towel.. Washed with only water and blow dried and followed up with 450 flat iron to seal the deal. The picture is of my hair next day without washing again since treatment. My hair is borderline 2C and normally when I keratin my hair stays straight unlike normal it becomes wavy almost immediately. My hair has retained its straight effect even after ponytailing it. Hope it holds up as claimed as it normally lasts only a month for me.The product arrives sealed.

More than disappointed
I had high hopes for this, but it didn't even work as well as store brand conditioner!I have 3a hair and have used all sorts of creams, conditioners, relaxers, you name it.I do color my hair about every 3 months, so I've included a "before" picture from the last time I colored my hair, then straightened it with a flat iron.No other special conditioners, just color and the flat iron. The "after" picture is after following the directions and leaving this keratin treatment in my hair for an hour and using a flat iron. I can't even tell I used the iron.My hair felt dry and I could not get tame the frizz at all.I honestly can get much better results using any cheap shampoo/conditioner and a flat iron.
