At the beach this fall, My 6yo granddaughter was searching hard to find a “clam” with a pearl. 😉She kept talking about how much she wanted one, so this was perfect as a Christmas gift. She was over the moon.I purposely didn’t buy a more expensive one because, well, she’s 6. She takes care of her treasures, but things tend to “happen.” This was a very “grown-up” piece of jewelry that she loves.At this price, it’s obviously not high-end jewelry, so my 5-rating is based on my expectations for this price point.It’s not a piece of junk that’s going to break the first time she wears it. It’s metal and not some flimsy plastic. The packaging with the sweet saying was just right. It’s nice enough that anyone might enjoy.

It's a very cute little necklace. The little pearl in a shell design has more flavor to it than a simple pendant or single gemstone. This would be a good gift for a preteen or best friends who love the beach. The packaging could have been better. Every other necklace I've purchased on Amazon has come in a box but this one arrived in a pouch. Normally I wouldn't mind a pouch, but it didnt even have a drawstring, so it doesn't hold your necklace securely. This problem can be easily sidestepped though, so it's definitely worth it if you want something summery to match the time of year.
