Gasav-R WA-3 Automatic Gas Shut-Off and Timer Valve with 1/2" IPS

What are the connecting sizes?

I installed this in our outdoor firepit. We spent 1,200 dollars retrofiting the firepit and it doesnt turn off it counts down but does not click off.

If this timer is connected, say to a fireplace, must it be used every time the fireplace is used. Of is there a way to use it only some of the time?

Can this be used on a kitchen gas stove?
