We bought this fan set (the 2 set) for our axolotl tank. We have a 20 gallon tank.After letting it run for 24 hours, the temperature in the tank went from 74 to 58! It definitely works. We're actually going to have to watch it doesn't get too cold or only run it for a period of time each day.Definitely great for the money spent. We did have to modify the fit a bit by adjusting the lid on our tank around it - but nothing terrible and definitely worth it.

I was pretty skeptical about these little fans being able to cool a tank for an axolotl but they totally work! I have 10 gallon and 40 gallon tanks set up with the 2 fan option. The fan on the 10 gallon can achieve almost 9 degrees cooler than room temperature and 5 degrees cooler on the 40 gallon. I was really impressed that it still worked on a much larger tank! And I am using the lower setting on the fan. The humidity currently is 50% (inside) and my home is around 70 degrees. There is a good amount of evaporation so topping off the tanks with water daily or every other day is a must in my conditions. I have only had these for a couple weeks so I don’t know yet how they hold up. Given the price if they work for a year before they break I won’t be upset. As many others have mentioned, they won’t fit your rimmed aquarium. But you could carefully remove part of the rim (watch YouTube how to) or devise a way to rest it safely over the water. It would be great if one of these fan vendors read that these don’t fit rimmed tanks and adjusted the design- it’s only off by a tiny amount.

My tank was fluctuating around low 70s when I added this to my 20 gallon rimless. It has dropped the temp to fluctuating around 64 +- degree. Ambient room temperatures make a difference probably too. It has 2 speeds and both make noticeable noise in the background that fades from my attention over time. Evaporation is much higher too but I’m happy using this as a temporary solution.

Normally I use frozen water bottles when my temps get above the 78° in my 5 gallon. It takes the temp down from 83 pretty quickly, but it hasn't been working this year. The bottles melt too fast and temps were getting to 84-85. I bought the fan expecting to use water bottles to supplement. Instead, temps stayed a constant 78, even dropping lower and triggering the heater to come on. Highest it got was 79 on a day that was getting close to 90. Very happy with it.

Bought this to help cool my axolotl tank. Each fan can be individually tilted but there is only about a 45 degree range of motion. The clearance to mount to the tank was too small as my tank has a thicker lip around the top edge for a tank hood. I ordered the 4 fan model. I can set 2 fans flat and 2 at a different angle why laying on the grate I have on top of the tank. I wish it would have mounted to the tank so I could keep it elevated away from the grate. The fan noise is not too bad on low. The cord is a bit short and had to stretch to reach the outlet that the tank is next to whereas the water filter cord still had about an extra foot for a drip loop.

This summer has been rough in AZ, and this has kept my tank temps from going lethal. Brought the temps down 10+ degrees with no problem when on high. Just be aware it's going to increase the evap factor. All in all, happy shrimp, happy betta, happy plants during a ROUGH season.

I bought this fan to cool my axolotl’s tank. Living in Arizona, this fan is a must through the entire month of October. I literally rely on it cooling the tank… stopped working after 30 days… of course it stopped working 5 days after the return window! Do not recommend.

In use in tandem with heat lamps and a humidifier on timers and sensors, this fan provides great airflow throughout my blue tongue skinks home, and keeps it cool when it gets too hot. I chose this over a standard fan due to the humidity surrounding it.I lay it on the top of my screen with a slight angle and it works great. I could see the material being a little weak but in its application it is more than adequate. In time I will see how this holds up to the humidity. Some things to note, there are 2 settings fast and slow and fast is definitely noticeable in volume. The fans do not have separate switches but they can be shifted into 2 separate angles.

Ayuda bastante para la temperatura de los peces, es de muy buena calidad y no hace mucho ruido.

La verdad si te bajan de 2 a 4 grados la temperatura del agua (obviamente en varias horas) pero muy ruidosos la verdad. OJO NO COMPRAR SI TU ACUARIO TIENE MARCOS (ya que estos ventiladores se agarran al marco de la pecera y si tienes marco como para tapa no los podrás fijar y te será muy difícil usarlos).

This fan works only on small fish tanks. Didn't work on my 20 gallon obviously was too big🙄. It saved my bettas in a 5 gallon tank during the heatwave.

It really cools down the temperature of the tank.
