Phillips' Milk of Magnesia liquid laxative is one of my essential products for managing my constipation when my daily constipation regimen of Linzess and 2x/day Miralax is not effective or effective enough. The taste and texture of this product are as palatable as possible. I have had terrible responses to stimulant laxatives (using bisacodyl for colonoscopy prep landed me in the ER in excruciating pain due to colitis triggered by the bisacodyl), so I will only use non-stimulant laxatives. This product is my favorite osmotic laxative because it is effective yet gentle. It doesn't cause me massive or explosive diarrhea, yet it unclogs and clears out the constipation, which is such a welcome relief. If you want less effect, you can use a lower or half dose, which I sometimes do. This is a high-quality, effective and affordable product that does what it claims to do-unclog constipated poo!

This tastes better than expected, which is appreciated. I ordered this after trying multiple other laxatives that quit working after a couple of uses. This worked after a couple hours. I didn't have cramping, pain, or any side effects. It was effective and easy to use. Do make sure you follow the directions on drinking a full gas of water with it. I didn't, and an hour after taking I drank water and then it worked. I think it needs water to get everything moving along.

I tried 2 other laxatives, both pills—one wasn’t enough and the other caused cramps. I haven’t used a laxative for years and I wasn’t sure what would work best. Milk of Magnesia is perfect, it’s gentle, doesn’t upset my system (it’s soothing in my stomach) and gets results every time. I agree with other reviews—be sure you drink at least 8 ounces of water with it, I drink until the chalky residue in my mouth is gone. I also agree you should start with 15 ml (about 1 Tablespoon). I started with 60 ml and it cleaned me out for 2 days. It wasn’t bad or uncomfortable, I needed it and the diarrhea stopped on its own. However, now I take 1T at a time and it works great for me.

This product works exactly as promised. The texture is light, easy to take, and it provides quick and gentle relief. I appreciate that it works without causing discomfort, which not all similar products can offer. It’s reliable, safe, and great to have on hand whenever digestive support is needed. I definitely recommend it for its quality and effectiveness.

It works like it should, could be a little less sugar in it. It’s still very sweet.
