Brinmar SBRHD (#0033H) Sound Blanket For Reciprocating Compressors

I recorded the AC sound before and after installation, and I didn't notice too much of a difference. The company I ordered from, ComfortGurus, was pretty easy to work with. I didn't receive the correct shipment the first round, but they were responsive and re-sent a full package a few weeks later. Installation was simple. I just don't think the product made a significant difference in noise reduction. My unit isn't loud to begin with but if you're like me and looking to satisfy a neighbors noise complaints, sure, this might make them think you put forth an effort. But if you want to effectively help your neighbors complaints, find them a realtor who will relocate them to the middle of nowhere where the sounds of the real world don't exist!

Difficult to use and did not significantly make any difference.

Our AC compressor unit sits near our backyard patio. It is loud enough that we can't have a normal conversation. We purchased the blanket so we could enjoy the shade of our patio getting fresh air, while keeping the house cool with the AC on. The Brinmar Sound Blanket works exactly as the company states.

I think it made the compressor quitter, I am happy and for the money it cost. I had the service tech install it after the compressor was replaced. Be sure to seal all and any small openings to suppress the noise.
