No power supply is included!!!
I will probably give this 5 stars in the end. I have been using Icron expensive USB 2/3 extenders for years. The USB 3 extender hub for nearly $1,500.00 just purchased from Amazon too, works fantastic! Came with everything I needed save for the Cat 6/7 cable (easy to get to length). This is a regular USB 3 type hub/extender. And does exactly what I wanted in regard to through put speed for USB 3 high end hardware, no time-outs, etc. Sure seems crazy to pay this but you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. This is USB type "C" extender up to 30 feet single port (but full power and USB 3 type C). Special cable included (warning you have to use this approved cable or equivalent, hard to find). It is included all 30 feet worth, whether you need that or not. That said the power supply was optional. The 5 volt 3-amps required power. I can't use it yet with the Player One (CMOS camera) that is USB type C on telescope 25 feet away. What I bought this for! Bought the optional power supply from L-COM. It arrived. It just came "without" the A/C cable to plug it in. (Oversight maybe??). I still can't use it with the specialize astronomical imaging camera yet. I expected more for such a hefty price tag for a USB "C" extender at $795.00. But look forward to using it. Just ranting a bit to be honest. In the past I was paying $650 for their USB 2 hubs and always recommended them to customers using higher end mission critical hardware whenever the cable runs were longer than about 15 feet. Love Icron products mind you. Update. I have found that several USB type C astronomical cameras are not working with full speed on this extender. They are having to drop down to USB 2 speeds (not USB 3/USB C). And at least one newer model ZWO camera with a native USB C port is not working at all. But the PlayerOne camera with USB type C works but only at USB 2 speed.
