I have a bit of a story but it’s worth it. Dryer heating element went after like 12 years on a Maytag. Ordered this, had immediate smoke. Turns out those extra pieces that come with it aren’t the best, but the heating element itself was fine. Read reviews that said side pieces can start fire. Lasted like 6 months. Ordered again. 4 months. Ordered again. 4 months. Reviews said to just buy the manufacturer piece. Did that. 2 days it lasted!!!! And no answer on refund! Screw the manufacturer. This worked great and got us through until I gave in and bought a new dryer. So I highly recommend this piece over manufacturer any day.

I purchased and installed this kit. It lasted only a weekend before failing. I made sure my vent was completely clear and verified strong airflow from the dryer when running. These parts are simply junk.Update:The seller did send me a replacement free of charge, which I appreciated — but unfortunately, the second unit failed even faster and burned up. At this point, I consider these a fire hazard. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra twenty bucks for the OEM part. It’s not worth the risk.

I received my order the next day after I had placed the order. All the items that were in the Picture were included. All parts fit my machine perfectly. I was not sure which component in my dryer was not functioning. To have a tech come out would have costed more than the dryer is worth. Purchasing any single part individually through an appliance repair or big box store would have costed more than I paid for all the parts that were included and not been sure if it would be the part I needed to fix my machine for sure. So, it was a big cost savings and easy to fix myself. Would definitely recommend.

Since it came with the place and was already sitting there, I began to disassemble it to figure out what all was wrong with it.Turns out the vent was so full of cat hair and lint that the hot air inlet into the barrel had lint and hair pushing back out around the perimeter of the hot air in grate at the back of the unit.The lint cleanout was solidly blocked, completely full.The elements had ceased working, and a couple of thermal fuses needed replaced as well.This kit had everything I needed to get it back into shape (excepting a replacement lint screen) in no time!I wish there would have been something like this I could have ordered to make tackling the rest of the cat disasters all over every room, and that overpowering cat stink that permeated the entire place and the surrounding 5 feet outside, as easy as that dryer was to fix with this kit!Turns out that it just takes a strong stomach, a strong will, dedication, nature's miracle, (until you realize vinegar does the same thing) time, and hard work to get rid of cat piss stink that you can cut with a knife after it kicks you in your sinus and makes your eyes water.Who doesn't ever clean out the lint trap? Same person that never cleans out the cat pan it would seem...

Easy replacement with this kit. Fix my dryer in less than 30 mins. I'm only giving it 4/5 because this the second one I've had to buy the heating element from the first one lasted about 6 months then I had to buy another. Still for the price I'm overall happy with this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This kit had all the sensors with the element. My element wasn’t broken but it was getting power. Ordered the kit Saturday, had it Sunday morning. The cost of a visit to the laundromat. Dryer fixed.
