I learned what a playsilk was at out local children's museum when I took my boys. There was a basket of them and they were beautiful. The kids were playing dress up, throwing them gently up in the air and watching them float down, wrapping things in them all calling them presents. When I started researching simple living with kids, and different learning schools of thought such as Waldorf, play silks kept being recommended. So I bought one. The quality was great, and my kids loved it, so I bought more. They have held up great, I think I've had some over a year and I can't really tell the difference between the newly purchased and older ones. All in all great open ended toy, that's beautiful, easy to clean, easy to store and has lasting power. I would definitely recommend. ( I also bought the crowns from Sarah's silks and for two year my sons have wore those for play as well as on their birthdays, super adorable and eco friendly)

I have been buying Sarah's Silks for the past 25 years and the company has always delivered top quality and gorgeous color. In fact, I just bought some new ones to replace the ones that I still had from 25 years ago because they had faded. Even after 25 years those silks were in excellent shape. The new silks are just as gorgeous and they are an investment that is worth it. My granddaughter was able to wear some of the Sarah's Silk items I purchased when her mother was a little girl :)

Our 6 month old has been going to Gymboree and LOVES parachute time at the end of class. My husband wanted to replicate the experience for her at home and I immediately thought to look for a multi-colored playsilk. I was thrilled to come across Sarah's Silks in my search and her Rainbow Playsilk did not disappoint. Bright colors, light and airy silk but sturdy too (no snags or tears to date). It's large enough for us to both take hold and wave it up and down over our daughter like a little parachute and she goes absolutely crazy for it. She gets excited every time we pull this out for her and throws a small fit when our arms are too tired to continue. I will definitely be purchasing more of these silks for her to play with once she's a little older and able to play with something like this on her own. Amazing quality and absolutely worth the price. I would 100% recommend this brand to my family and friends.

This silk is beautiful, of good quality (rainbow), and my twin girls love it... But I gave this 4 stars because when I ordered it, I thought it was "playsilks" in rainbow colors. When it showed up as only one silk, I had to look back to see what the description said. The description first statement is "playsilks" because it is describing the general fun of this particular play thing....this is as far as I got with a couple toddlers hanging off the lampshades as I added it to the cart. I now see under another section it states "playsilk" so it is defined this way if you read the whole thing. So, I feel this could be more clearly labeled as a single silk within the first sentence of the description. Honestly as beautiful as this is, I wouldn't have paid $17.95 for a single silk. Would have definitely gone a cheaper route. Although I would have been sacrificing quality, it would have made up for it in quantity... Something direly needed when you are talking dress up and twin girls! 😂

This company is known for the quality of their silks and there is good reason, they are the best on the market. I love toys that encourage imagination. The simplicity of the silks make the perfect for everything. The colors are fantastic (so hard to choose which ones to get!), they are perfect for boys and girls, classrooms and parties. One of my favorite gifts to give. We have been using these for 2 generations now. My daughters grew up with them and have quite a collection for their kids. Their found memories made it a must have for their own children. Hours and hours of non stop fun!

Doesn't feel like anything special, just feels like a normal piece of cloth. Could get cheaper cloth elsewhere.

My kids have enjoyed these so much for imaginative play through the years! We bought the rainbow and night sky. Quality product!
