Well thought out design but, needs some small improvements
Love the overall design. However before you order you need to know this. The zippers on the legs are not 12" as stated in the Ad. They are actually only 9" so those of you thinking you can put this on without taking off your boots may be disappointed. Also the round veil is obviously made for a toddler. It's way to small in circumference. I have several round veils and this one looks and feels ridiculous for it's size. Oh yeah, I ordered the XL suit. The fencing veil is nice and roomy and I haven't had any problems with it. It's kinda nice to be able to zip open the front. That zipper is plastic so careful! . The front zipper goes up past the veil zippers about 3" and the veil zippers do not overlap to close off the hole. They get close but, not enough to prevent a bee from entering. The flap that covers the zippers is only partially Velcro . The rest is cloth and leaves about a 1.5" loose area right on top of the veil zippers so there is no seal created there either. I'll be adding something to insure there's no gaps but, Bee suits should not leave holes once complete. Other than these things the design is great and there' been no Stings. Only a guest inside the veil that alerted me to the seal issue. I haven' had it long enough to talk on the durability but, if it holds up then we have ourselves a winner for comfort and coolness in hot months despite the hidden bee entrance.

It protected me while I irradicated a tough yellow jacket nest
This is a high quality bee suit, that offers two different styles of head coverings. While I was trimming my bushes, was attached by yellow jackets. I didn't realize that they had taken up residence in one of my globe cryptomerias. It was hard to see the nest because the plant is so dense, but I could see the channel they had made as an entrance to the interior of the plant. It took multiple attempts, with multiple cans of wasp spray, on multiple days, and the use of my shop vac hose jammed into the plant running all day, to finally irradiate the yellow jackets. Several times I was approached by the yellow jackets but I was not stung.I read in a negative review of this product complaints of being stung through the suit. Since I noticed that the stings I got during my original trimming event that were through my shirt were much less severe, than the stings on my hands, I wore a set of painter's overalls under the suit, and I felt quite safe, though, in the middle of the summer (in the South) it was quite hot. Never-the-less, I would recommend where thick clothing under the suit. I have the zippers and closures with hook and loop tabs over their ends excellent. There were also hook and loop closures to tighten the sleeves and legs. The gloves the come with the suit were also good.I found the sizing guidelines good. I am 6'4" (and 200 pounds). I ordered the 4XL, and was glad I did. Generosity in the size helps keep the suit away from your skin, and makes it easy to put on. Err on the larger size.I am happy with this purchase, and I've stored the suit "for the next time" have have to deal with these aggressive wasps.

Great suit protection moderately good head protection
The suit is very breathable and light for how much distance it gives in thickness. Donning and doffing can be difficult but I think it is user error. Head protection is moderate compared to the body, fence veil needs a baseball cap to keep it off the front of the face but my jaw was constantly hitting the front when I looked down. Back of head protection is good, ears feel like I was hitting either one side or the other but overall I think that it is good quality for what I paid. The round veil is very small almost kid sized and I genuinely prefer round veils to fencing ones and still chose the fencing one that was included. Overall it was a great replacement for my old suit and I think only buying in person and trying it on would have made the experience better.

Almost perfect!
suit is great, nice to have the choice of the 2 different hoods, and the gloves fit perfectly so that they are useful, not clumsy. My only critique is that the hood attachment and velcro overlay leaves a tiny gap. Most bees won't crawl in, but will need to make sure the velcro stays closely attached or it could be a problem. but overall thrilled with the suit!
