Best chair wheels I have tried. Smooth, quiet, keeps in place but easy to roll.
I have tried many sets of casters or wheels for my chair. (more on this later) These are the best so far. They roll very smoothly and are very quiet. They look good too but how often do you look at the rollers on a chair anyway. The perfect combination of quiet and smooth without changing the chair height. The most important thing for me that it doesn't want to move around when you intend to stay still. If you are interested in my comparison with other rollers, here it is: I switched from carpet to LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank or fake hardwood) recently and that is what made me look for new rollers. I had replaced the rollers with the roller blade style single wheel rollers years ago. Those were ok on carpet. On LVP however the chair wanted to roll away before I could sit on it. Even putting my feet on a foot rest would push the chair back when I didn't want it to. Those roller blade rollers were quiet and smooth but they lifted the chair up a bit. I believe the additional height led to bad habits like putting my feet on the base of the chair. (and eventually foot pain) I tried my original plastic rollers that came with the chair and those sounded like they were going to scratch the floor. (they weren't going to, it just sounded that way) I missed the smooth rolling quiet feel of the roller blade rollers but I wanted something that would stay in place a bit better. I put these rollers on and decided immediately that they were an upgrade and the best of the bunch. The chair rolls nicely but it doesn't feel like the chair wants to move on its own. I can glide across the floor if I am too lazy to get up to get to the trash can. The price is reasonable and the upgrade is significant. I can't say how these would work on carpet. They are softer and grip more than plastic. They might be difficult to move on carpet unless you have a hard surface mat. I highly recommend them for hard surface flooring though.

Easy rolling and quiet
I recently got a new office chair that came equipped with the standard 2" double plastic wheel rollers. The chair did not roll or pivot easily on my rug so I investigated the various rubberized bearing wheels for replacement. These are similar to roller blade wheels but are the double wheel 2" style replacements and not the single wheel 3" roller blade type. I chose the 2" replacements because I did not want to raise the height of the chair. I selected this style for several reasons: (1) the wheel bearings and polyurethane treads should make rolling quiet and easy, (2) the solid urethane wheel should be more durable than a plastic wheel with an outer urethane tread; reviews of such styles sometimes noted that the tread would separate from the plastic wheel, and (3) the roller blade style wheel has a narrower contact point than styles with a flat tread; many reviews of the flat tread design noted that the wheels did not pivot easily and I believe this is because the flat tread wheels have a lot of contact area against the floor whereas the narrower roller blade wheel type should have less contact area with the floor which should result in lower friction to allow the narrower wheel to pivot more freely. I have found that these wheels easily pivot and roll on the rug installed in my office. I am very satisfied with the performance. Note: I selected the color based on it being the cheapest option but the color does not stand out when installed on the chair. The color is that of the supporting structure within the transparent polyurethane wheel. The transparent polyurethane is most obvious and the interior color does not appear very noticeable from the outside. Just about any color will likely work for most decors.

Glides, smooth and quiet - Wish I had thought of it sooner - Better than the orignal
What a difference. Quiet and smooth, exactly as described. Now the chair quietly glides instead of feeling stuck part of the time. Struggling to get my chair rolling made my chair feel old and now it feels new again. Well worth the price if your chair is comfortable but isn't rolling smoothly.

1 year later, Wheels seem to have flattened a bit
These are great rolling and sturdy wheels out of the box. I'm 235lbs and spend over 8 hours a day on my chair. After about 9 months, I noticed the wheels did not roll freely and smoothly as when new. I have a vinyl office mat to protect a wood floor. However, these are still working ok and there may be silver lining here in that I have to crunch my abdomen to scoot over to my other desk and computer. I have 2 desks that shar the same large vinyl office mat. So, if my abs turn out looking like abs on Matthew McConaughey, I'll return and make it a 5-start (I promise). I bought these to replace my severely flattened office chair wheels so these are a huge improvement. However I'm leary of the "2200lbs" load capacity. Does that mean that these should bear the weight of a bear (pun alert) weighing 600-1200lbs? I think not. So that 2200lbs rating raises a question with me regarding the true bearing weight for each wheel.

These wheels are great easy to put on and they move so smooth and quietly and not hooking on or grabbing hold of things I just got them and I like them already glad I pick them and I brought a second set they're great!

They worked well for me
Got these for the office chair in my home. I have old hardwood floors and the wheels. The chair came with or sliding and scratching on the floor instead of rolling. These new wheels work perfectly fine. They roll on the hardwoods and don’t mark them up. Exactly what I wanted. And they are also quieter

Much smoother and quiet to move the chair on hard wood floor. Easy install and fits perfectly. Some reviewers received some with branding but mine didnt have any. Mine were blank. Maybe I was lucky or they listened to reviews and took it off. I'll admit its really easy to move the chair that even a slight adjustment with my seating and it'll move slightly, could be a double edge sword but at least I dont have to worry about scratching my floor.

This is the 3rd set of these wheels I've bought. They are resilient and noiseless. I've been using them for over a year and bought extras to give to family. Very easy on floors, particularly timber floors. Highly recommend.
