It should work for either, it's sized for adults, it worked fine this man

Q: How do you clean it after each use?

Simply follow the instructions that come with the item which state "Rinse with warm water and wipe clean." Then, you can just hang or place it wherever you want to store it. I place it on its side or upside down and, prior to next use, rinse it out one time with warm water. Hope this helps!

This sits on top of the toilet seat.
