I work as a professional auto mechanic. I am an ASE Master Tech with advanced certification. I purchased this Fuse Buddy to use with my Snap-on Low Amp Clamp. With this Fuse Buddy I am able to plug it into the fuse and then clamp my low amp clamp around the loop and diagnose a circuit. When I purchased this I was going to diagnose a problem with a fuel pump. With the Fuse Buddy I didn't have to go under the car I could easily do my diagnoses with my amp clamp and the fuse buddy. The best part of it was when the problem happened I could see that I was still getting normal amperage to the fuel pump so I knew then that the problem was not with the fuel pump. These Fuse Buddy's are a great find for anyone working in the field and wants to save a little time. The best part is that you can use them on any electrical circuit that requires a fuse. This comes in real handy when the component you want to test is hard to get to such as a fuel pump. Most automotive electrical devices are in series with the fuse so if you check the wiring diagram and this is the case then the amperage will be the same threw out the circuit. Like I said these Fuse Buddy's are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

On first appearance of looking at this I think most of the people are correct about the fitting of the fuse into the fuse buddy. I tried carefully sticking a small tip flathead down in there to try and move the fuse blade holders in there around and immediately noticed that was a bad idea. If you poke in there to brought you WILL separate this device!!! I STRONGLY advise against this. Just take your time when putting your chosen (amperage) fuse in here. But this should work good like other people have said. P.S. I accidentally ordered the larger blade fuse buddy but will stick with this same brand and order the small blade Fuse Buddy. Review will be made!

Finally someone makes devices like this instead of us trying to get a bunch of male and female wire connectors, fuses and wires to do lab scope tests on cars. Just pull out the fuse, use the Current Loop that fits the fuse socket, install the fuse you removed from the vehicle in the side of the Loop, install the Loop back in the fuse socket and test the devise or circuit. Good quality, good size, fast results and cannot damage the vehicle.They just need to make one that fits the low profile mini fuse now.

I used this for measuring current flow in a blower mortor circuit. It is fast and accurate. Just plug into the fuse, clamp your ammeter on and instant readings.

Bought to troubleshoot a slow battery drain on the hundred or so circuits in my W220 (too many to count). I use it with a clamp amp meter and get good results. I wish they would make a model that could handle higher current as this one is limited to 30A and I've got many that are 40A circuits limiting it's use.
