Strong. Suction. Perfect.
Incredible suction. Doesn't move. Releases easy when needed. Quality seems good after a few weeks. I only wish I had discovered this device mounting system sooner, after wasting time on inferior products. Determine length for the arm part you need to purchase separately to get the distance perfect off your windshield.

Ram mounts are the best
Bought this to replace the Quadlock windshield mount which kept falling off. Couldn't be happier. It pairs great with the Peak Designs ball mount MagSafe charger. Very well built, sturdy, quality components. Will be buying more from Ram mounts.

Great for mountain phone above dash for GPS
After playing around with different RAM products to mount my phone for GPS (and not keep it in my lap while driving), I found this mount. With a long arm and phone holding attachment, all from RAM, it finally worked. I tried the mount that sticks to the vinyl dash but that torqued itself off and left a mark. I tried the claw grip mounted to my mirror but that made the mirror vibrate. This finally worked and worked well.One minor problem I've had is that in time, in the summer sun and heat it will slooooowly slide down the glass and eventually came off. But it's easy enough to put back and leaves no permanent marks on the glass or anything. Well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great Suction

Very solid mount set up with one caveat
I bought this mount, along with an arm and phone holder, because of the reviews and remarks saying just how solid it was. I wanted something secure for my boat and this seemed like the best option. It worked great for me for a short period of time but unfortunately the suction mount was not up to the task. It detached and went overboard and I never was able to recover it. Fortunately my phone was not in the mount at the time. So why did I give it a 4 star review if it failed me? Because of the company's excellent customer service. I contacted them and explained what had happened. They apologized and offer to replace all three items at no cost to me. Since they do have a mount base that is screw mounted instead of suction mounted, I ordered a screw mounted base for my boat and will use the suction base in my truck. So thank you to Ram Mounts for being a company that stands behind their products.

Works great for tablets and phone mounts!
Excellent build quality, and the perfect fit for other Ram Mounts accessories. I was able to use this with my smart phone and large tablet attached to my windshield. It is lightweight but does not provide any vibration. Excellent value for the money.
