Worked perfectly for an original Xbox hard drive upgrade. Upgraded to a 500GB SATA drive which didn't work properly with the original 40-wire IDE cable. Needs a little folding and twisting around as others have mentioned, but the 24" cable combined with the StarTech IDE-to-SATA adapter worked out great.

Does what I needed it to do in an og xbox

Good cable, easy to fold and works great in an original Xbox. BUT- make sure to get the 24 inch cable! I saw the reviews saying that an 18 inch works, but either I didn’t look hard enough or they failed to mention the mass amount of folding you need to do to get it to fit. I naively thought the 24inch would have too much slack left over, but no, that would be the perfect cable for an Xbox.

Works as expected and described

Bought this to use for my OG Xbox and it works great. It felt as durable as the original cable and the length worked at as well. The connectors were facing the opposite way of how the original cable was so it took a bit of maneuvering to get it snug in the case. I have had no issues since I installed it and it works great.

I bought this to replace on an Xbox. I almost got the 18 inch but decides I wanted a little extra slack. We'll the 24 bearly made it to the HDD and I needed some clever routing.

I was concerned that the size might be too small. But it turns out that it's the perfect size. Good quality cable. Very robust and definitely worth spending a little extra. Top seller. Thanks.

Used it to upgrade the HDD on my OG XBOX. It does the job, works with the SATA to IDE converter I have. Unfortunately the connectors are flipped vertically compared to the stock ribbon which makes it incredibly awkward to fit.
