I LOVE Being Able To Just Unplug The Cable, And It DOESN'T BUZZ! IT'S GREAT!
This "LEKATO Instrument Cable with Dual Mute Plug Ends" works quite well!I REALLY LOVE being able to just unplug the cable, and NOT HAVING IT BUZZ!And, I don't know WHY I waited so long, (50 years!), to get a cable with this Auto-MUTE SWITCH Feature! It's quite a flexible cable, and, it has the all-important Gold-Plated Connectors, too, so I won't get any corrosion! It goes perfectly with the gold Pure Tone output jacks, that I like to add to all of my guitars. (THAT WAY, it's gold-to-gold, and I avoid any 'dissimilar metals effect"...)I also like having the right-angled connector on one end, too. It works nicely going into my little Fender Mustang I V.2 Modeling Amp, which I have placed on a chest-high shelf. The 90 degree-end takes all of the strain off of the cable, in that setup. And then, of course, the other, straight-end goes nicely into my Strats, my Teles, my Mustang, my Toronado, my Les Faul... or whatever...BTW, BOTH ENDS of the cable offer the auto-Mute Switch functionality. So, in short, I think it's a pretty good option for an Auto-Mute Switch Instrument Cable, especially for the price.I like it!Have fun.-C(NOTE: I did NOT receive this product through any Promotion, I bought and paid for it myself.)

Great cable - works well when switching instruments
I have used a full-length instrument cable with a mute switch on stage to protect equipment and listeners alike from a loud live connections. Tried this shorter version in my studio and was really pleased with the design that does not require the player to press any buttons. Just plug in and go. I have not noticed any difference in tone/volume with this cable, and it feels just as secure in the socket as any other instrument cable. It's nice to swap guitars without adjusting the volume/gain on mixers, etc., before connecting. Very pleased and will now consider the longer version for stage use.

Works perfectly, no pops or click but...
- Both sides have the silent connector which is good but also a problem if you are plugging it directly into your interface with a combo input(XLR+Line) because the pin won't get pressed down in all positions because there are holes. If you are using a direct box or plugging it into a standard line input this won't be a problem.- The connectors themselves are quality and metal.- The wire is on the thinner side, not the best but it's reflected in the price.- Seller should offer a variant with only one side being silent plug/connector to avoid the issue mentioned above.

A good inexpensive solution
This cable solves the problem of that severe popping noise when plugging/unplugging your guitar while the amp is still on. I have other more expensive cables with auto disconnect switches, but this inexpensive cable does the same job, AND has the disconnect switch at both ends of the cable, so I can use either the straight end, or the 90-degree end for different guitar needs.

Horrible Cable - Mute Button Doesn't Work!
This is a HORRIBLE cable. My amps are across the room so the convenience of this type of cable is being able to pull it out at the guitar end without the loud crackle that blows amp speakers. I have vintage amps and I don't need my speakers blown! A quiet cable also allows me to pull the cable from the guitar to save my active pickup battery when I'm not playing and leave it plugged into the amp.I have a Gator Cases Headliner Series Quiet Instrument Cable and it's great. No noise when plugging or unplugging at the guitar end while still plugged into the amp. I figured I would try the LEKATO since it offered the same functionality at a much lower price. Big mistake - Big.... HUGE.... It simply doesn't work!In addition, the actual cable is flimsy and super thin. Maybe half the thickness and durability of the Gator Cases cable.I was thinking of maybe keeping this as a backup but I can't reward a poor product...Off to return now!

Great Feature! Works with most all my guitars, expect one of mine
I bought 3 them for my studio and band mainly for the disconnect feature to prevent pops and noise when unplugging. Which is done by a little ball at the base of the shaft that gets pushed in when the cable is fully inserted to make the connection.I have mainly used it with high end acoustics that have either KNK or LR Baggs pickups.I they have worked with 5 out of tbe 6 guitars i have used them with. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t work with one particular guitar. I tried all 3 cables I got and none would work this one Guitar.I haven’t tried them with any of my electric guitars yet, but would be surprised if they didn’t work. They are a bit thinner of cable in diameter than most all my other instrument cables, but it’s not a huge amount or any reason for me to be concerned. If you’re looking for a cable with a disconnect so you can put in or pull out without asking if you’re muted on the PA, recording studio, or amp they do the job!I’ll update if I find more guitars than the one.

The pin to reduce noise for plug in and unplugging doesn't work consistently.
Pops when connecting. Noise was what I had in mind for purchasing. Price was good however. Needs better connectors.

Nice cable!
So far I'm liking this cable a lot. It feels well made and sounds every bit as good and clean as my more expensive cables. The coolest thing is having the mute on both ends. When I'm recording I'm always switching instruments and some have the jack on top and some on the side, so I end up reversing the cable. I don't know why they don't make all the muting cables this way. I'm getting zero interference, buzzing, crackling, etc..., and it's absolutely silent unplugging it from the instruments. I only use my gear for home recording so it doesn't get abused, but nonetheless this chord feels sturdy. We'll see how it holds up!
