This is a great book.
Fantastic book made with love and care. I'm glad that it focuses on X films rather than the more skanky XXX variety. If you're a fan of Something Weird Videos, then this book is really for you. It's that whole 60s sexploitation thing from Nudie Cuties to Roughies, etc. Very very cool book.

Worth it
This is a fun coffee or bathroom book. Bought it for a friend who is a graphic designer for a gift and she loved it. Everyone took a minute to look through. Well done.

A different kind of stocking stuffer!
X-Rated is another winner from the wonderful Reel Art Press. Brilliantly edited, designed and printed, this little book is a great overview of both the obscure and (in)famous films that were once talked about in hushed tones, and have now gotten more mainstream visibility. Posters vary from the early, simple designs, to the more sophisticated. Puns are not in short supply, and there are even scenes from the films on the facing pages of the posters. The posters show a bygone era that is both tawdry and fun. The smaller format allows you to hold it in one hand, which is convenient.

Book is more R-rated movie posters
This book is more focused on exploitation posters of the 1960's versus adult movie posters. There are burlesque movie posters, Russ Meyer, Ed Wood, and many lesser known movies that I would consider more of the exploitation category. About two thirds of the book covers the 1960's. The layout of the book usually has a poster on one side of a two-page spread and a film still or related imagery on the opposite page. So the book is not completely filled with movie posters. Towards the very end of the book in the 1970's section there are some famous adult movie posters for Deep Throat, Debbie Does Dallas, and a couple of others but they are a very small representation of adult movies. They're also the most well-known so not that interesting. The reproductions are very good, all the posters that are supposed to be in color are in color. The inclusion of "filler" material is okay in some parts but I would have preferred a book full of just movie posters. The dimensions are small for a poster book but I collect movie poster books so I'm going to keep this in the library. I was really looking forward to a collection of adult movie posters since they don't get collected much and the original posters are probably going to be lost and destroyed as time passes. It's hard to find many books in this poster genre so if you have any interest you might still want it.

What David JJ said about the book is not correct ...
What David JJ said about the book is not correct, it does contain page numbers. A majority of the odd numbered pages have numbers and some of the even numbered pages have numbers. The numbers are in an odd location and small, they're at the top of the page near the spine. The book contains 206 posters, 160 are for films released before 1971 and 46 for films released after 1970. For owners of volume one and volume two of “X-Rated” posters by Nourman and Marsh, only 135 posters are new because 71 posters appear in both volumes
