Overall a great product but questionable if worth the price.
Sound Quality: B+ (Wired headsets at 1/3rd of the price are still superior in sound quality.)Comfort: A+ (The earpads mold to your ear due to the fabric and design, would recommend cleaning them at least occasionally due to sweat and oils from skin.)Bluetooth Connectivity: D (Literally worse than my $50 headphones. Can't even go in the kitchen.)Noise Cancelation: A (When turned on, leaks hard if off.)Battery Life: B- (Basically lasts a full day and then some, can't be used while charging.)Touch Features: C- (Unable to turn them off, very sensitive to touch... easy to accidentally hit)Price-to-Value: C (If, for the sound quality, it's going to cost 2-2.5x more than a wired headset the wireless aspect is the incentive to purchase these. With how awful the Bluetooth connectivity is it's hard to justify this price point. While it has many great features it's simply just comes off as the price being inflated for what value it gives.)My original purpose in buying these was to use a wireless headset for remote work. I bought a modular boom mic that can attach to any headset. However... this does not have a call feature. If I could return my expensive modular boom mic and learn to use the call function instead (if it's up to par) it'd increase the value of this in my eyes. I heard good things about the call quality... so we'll see. It was missing the manual when it came so I'll have to look up a YT video on how it works. However... the "Call" features keep turning my sound off and on so I had to disable them.Overall it's a decent product that I'd view better if it wasn't so expensive compared to it's competition. If it had great Bluetooth connectivity I'd be satisfied with the purpose even with the other shortcomings. But having such poor quality on such an important aspect just lessens it in my eyes.

Comfortable and Quiet
Great headphones for people who want to shut out everything around them. The noise cancellation is top tier - as you have heard these headphones are great. Also, incredibly light, you can barely feel them on your head. I was worried about buying refurbished but honestly, no problems yet. The battery does drain quicker than I thought, but only if you use noise cancellation 24/7. Also, they shut disconnect randomly sometimes, never looked into it but random thing I've noticed - 4/5

Best you can get!
This is the best-sounding headphone I ever tested! Sony created a perfect one! To some bulks, we went for a refurbished one but to our surprise, it was same as brand new; they just ship it in a general box istead of the retail box which does not bother me at all.

Class-Leading Comfort and Noise Cancellation with OK Sound
The active noise cancellation is pretty amazing. Just about all ambient noise is cancelled out. Don't expect total silence. You will still be able to hear nearby conversations, but at much reduced level. Most over-the-ear headphones cause great discomfort for me after wearing them for a while. The Sony is well designed and I do not have any ear pains, even after wearing them all day. These might be the most comfortable headphones I have worn for extended listening. It seems that the ear pads are designed for wearing eyeglasses too.The main downside is the audio quality. Sound clarity and detail are almost nonexistent. You can't compare these to Beyerdynamic or Sennheiser. Even a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT2 will sound better. People talk about adjusting EQ settings, but that is just overcompensating for lack of sound quality. What you are paying for with the Sony are noise cancellation and comfort.

One of the top Bluetooth headphone sets available for the price
This “B” (renewed) version of the Sony 1000/5’s is probably one of the best values for a top quality Bluetooth headphone currently available. It’s a no-frills presentation with the Sony “B” when it arrives. Brown Amazon box, zippered headphone case in a plastic bag, 90 day warranty info, the plug-in cord (yes, you can plug these in AND use them as Bluetooth phones!) and the power cord - see the photo. For a really in-depth review of these phones, refer to John Darko’s review of them on Darko Audio on the web. John’s review covers all the finer points in great detail.John’s video was recorded on 10/11/22 and compares the Sony WH-5000XM5’s to Bowers and Wilkins Px7 s2’s which are also $399 - the same price as the new Sony model. My take on the Sonys -- they fit well and are comfortable for a few hours- they can be used as a corded phone by leaving the power off and just plugging them in- the fold flat but they don’t fold up like the version 1-4 did. That’s not a big deal for me, I travel with ear buds, not over ear phones.- the app has a LOT of flexibility for adjusting the sound and system.- the controls work well on the right ear cup. Volume up and down, play/pause, track back or advance to name a few.- audio evaluations are inherently subjective. I have a pair of Meze 99’s Classics that I use daily as well. The Sony have great bass, the Meze phones do as well. The mid-range on the Meze seems more refined but I’m using the Ifi Zen Can amp tuned for the Meze 99’s so it’s not really a fair comparison.- not a mark or any visible defect anywhere on the “B” version that I bought. They look and sound brand new.For rhe $130 off off list for the “B” versus new, I don’t think you can get a better sound quality and app flexibility from a closed, over ear cordless phone for the price. Hope that helps!

Good for the price but...
I received the product with little packaging on it. it's just the box with a thin plastic wrapping the headphone case and that's it. with 2 papers inside. to top it off the bag is opened all the way. me and the headphones be having eye contact the moment I open the box. I can see fingerprints all over the headphone. and the headphone is not even reset to default settings I can still see what name they put or who used the headphone prior. and the device it's connected to.I recommend you guys Initialize the headphone to default setting once it gets in your hands. probably my last product buying from refurbished. My overall rating would bePrice 8/10Condition 7/10 (May Vary on the device that u got)Packaging 5/10
