Yes, this tool has a 1/4 inch shank diameter. The only tools we have with mm size shanks are the metric end mills, but this one is definitely 1/4".

No it can not be use in a hand drill.

Q: I can't find this part number on kodiak's website. it also lacks kodiak's etched name on the tool as well. is this a real kodiak tool or a knockoff?

Our tools are only marked with the size and 'USA' on the shank. The smaller diameter tools are not marked at all on the tool. They are almost always shipped in red tubes with a registered trademark on the label. We have almost no problem with knock-off tools, as we regularly monitor the listings to prevent other parties from selling products under our brand name. We are notified when another party is selling under our listings, so we can take quick action and prevent counterfeits from entering the market. Our brand is registered with the US Trademark and Patent office as well as with the Amazon Brand Registry, so hopefully that also prevents people from using our brand name, which is a legally registered trademark. This is a tool that we supply to Amazon, who warehouses the tools for us and fulfills the orders, so we are confident you are getting an actual Kodiak Cutting Tools® brand end mill.

Q: Is this a center cut end mill?

Yes, all Kodiak Cutting ToolsÂ® carbide end mills are center cutting.
