It comes with cartridges that have very small quantities of ink. The cartridges are labelled "Setup." That's because they have enough ink to get you started. They won't last long.

Does it print both sides of sheet?

Yes. It does double sided printing.

What edible ink can I use with this?

Search Amazon for Mayday edible inks. They have been highly recommended to me.

Does this printer work with iPad 10th generation?

I have an IPad Air (5th generation) and it works great. I suspect it would be fine with a 10th generation.
