From everything I've read, this is the safest sweetener there is. It's all natural, pure stevia directly from the plant, as if you put a freshly-picked plant leaf in your coffee. No calories, no manufactured chemicals, just stevia. If you haven't ever used it, when you first use it after using any other sweetener, there will be a slight off-taste. But soon that goes away. I have used it for many years, and it's all I use for drinks -- coffee, tea, and smoothies, and even some foods.
