Isle of Dogs Coature No. 63 Detangle Conditioning Mist for Matted Dog Hair

9/27/2021: I just received my bottle of the "Isle of Dogs Coature No. 63 Detangle Conditioning Mist for Matted Dog Hair" spray. I read the reviews prior to ordering this product and I was concerned about the leakage during shipping and the hard to use nozzle. Upon opening the package, I found a minor amount of product had leaked into the bag, but it was not nearly as much leakage as some of the other reviewers have witnessed. I did have some confusion in trying to use the sprayer though, as one of the #1 reviews stated. However, I figured it out. I've attached a couple of pictures that explain how to turn the nozzle on and off (open and closed). From the back of the nozzle you can see a little piece of plastic sticking out to the right near the bottom where the nozzle screws onto the bottle. When this piece of plastic is on the back right side of the nozzle, the sprayer is closed (or in the "off" position). Press this button in so that it slides to the left side of the back of the nozzle to open the nozzle (to the "on" position). Update 11/1/2021: I have now used the spray on several occasions. I find that a little bit (two or three spritzes) on an area goes a long way to de-tangle my dog's hair. I have a Keeshond which is a double-coated breed; he has a soft cotton-like inner coat and a harsher outer coat with long coarse guard hairs. His hair can get a little tough to comb through when it is dry and without any help with a spray like this I find that quite a bit of hair comes out in the brush. However, if I first spray two to three spritzes on the area prior to brushing, the brush glides much more smoothly through the hair and far less hair comes out in the brush. I'm impressed with how well it works. Like several other reviewers have commented, I find the fragrance to be quite strong. I believe that Isle of Dogs could scale way back on the amount of fragrance added and then this product would be truly outstanding in every regard!

I am a professional groomer and also show my dogs and this product works very well. All Isle of Dog products smell very pleasant too.

This product is a little bit expensive, but it is definitely worth the money I was using a different detangler on my mobile grooming truck, and I literally threw the bottle out when I got this product I sprayed it over my old detangler that wasn’t working to get some nuts out and it took it out immediately

I switched over from my regular brand to give this shot. I like the spray bottle function; it works better than others I've tried. It was a little annoying to unlock; be careful you don't force it and break it! It also works phenomenally on my Old English Sheepdog's coat and definitely helps to get mats out. The only reason I docked it two (yes two) stars and will not buy again is because I find the fragrance far too strong. I read this in other reviews but thought it can't be too bad. It sends me into a coughing fit every time I spray it. I have to turn my head and hold my breath. Sounds dramatic, I know! But I can't not cough when using. It does have a pleasant smell but it's wayyyyy too strong. If it were dialed down, I'd buy this again without any hesitation.

Love Isle of Dogs products! Smells great, good quality and makes my dogs coats shine. Got the detangler for my Aussie, works great, easy to brush out his coat after a bath when I use the detangler.

I have 5 Havanese in show coats and they play with each other all the time, matting their hair up pretty good. I have tried just about everything on the planet but still managed to lose a lot of hair when they had some bad mats. The only thing I found that worked better was a very expensive aerosol dematting spray that is no longer available anywhere. You need to be patient and let the product soak into the hair before trying to brush it. Also, I have found that if I use my emergency dematting brush from Les Pooches (the red handled one), that the combination of the two really make short work of the dematting with very little hair loss. After using, it seems to help keep the mats from returning. I gave it four stars because of having used the aerosol mist that worked better. So if and when that is available again, this will be what I will use from now on.

Got this for the mats that can happen on a poodle. I never had a poodle before and the grooming is different from double coated breeds. I was having to cut out grape sized mats here and there hoping they would grow in quickly. This solves that! The mats loosen and can be combed out fairly easily. The dog doesn't think much of the aroma but it passes quickly and he no longer chews on his tail with the spray and maybe I can get that round pompom I'm trying for!

It was very expense & I have a Pomeranian that her hair gets matted. First the spray bottle was broke & didn't work & my dog was sitting freezing waiting for me to spray her with it. Impossible, cheap spray bottle & didn't work. Had to leave my dog in bathroom on a towel & search the house for a regular spray bottle that was new. Had one for my grand daughter's hair that i use daily to braid her hair for school. Poor the water out of it & poor this product in bottle. Spray my dog, do strong smell at all, and you have to leave product on a few minutes, so I did. Didn't work well or help my pomeranian, tried three times rubbing it in & re-sprayed. It just didn't work like, I thought it would work at all. Wouldn't buy again. Sending Back to Amazon. Wasn't a good experience for my dog or me. Cheap quality of spray bottle & product not work the money. Buyer beware.

A very good detangler, but the smell is super strong and if you put it on your hands it stings. My dog itches after application so I use it prior to shampooing to get out the tangles.

届いた時には液漏れでした！本当に残念！ つけたてはきつい香りで失敗と思いましたがさその後優しい仄かな香りになりサラサラした毛質になりました！保湿力も高いのか静電気も起きなく助かりました！
