This cost me just a few dollars more than just the replacement cable ends. If you have a Ford truck or van you may know the drama when the door latch cables suddenly give up the ghost.Our passenger van rear doors stopped working two days ago. With all our Christmas presents in the back. And a Volkswagen engine. :) I had to crawl through the van, remove the door panels, unbolt the license plate box, then crawl back through and work outside the van to pop the latch.I ordered the replacement ends then this popped up. On a whim I grabbed it too.Lemme tell ya. It came today. Racing a rainstorm I again had to pop the back doors through the license plate box lol. But that took longer than replacing this whole assembly. I found this to be sturdy and had literally every part I needed to swap quickly and efficiently. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this. Having swapped just the replacement ends before, I’m pretty sure my turnaround time was about identical or perhaps even faster with this.And now I know the whole assembly is new. Boom.

Be sure to read the specs because it does not come with the electric actuator. This is partially my fault because i didnt notice that this is only for the latch assembly and I didnt know exactly how everything looks untill I took my door apart during the repair. Luckily my actuator was ok, the latch itself failed on my door so i still uad a successful repair but if you are looking for the actuator, this is not the kit for you.

These arrived without instructions, so l have so far not been able to replace them on my van.
