Great traps. Kills quickly.
These traps are amazing, quick, efficient. Worth their weight in gold. I have been buying traps like crazy. This purchase is my fourth attempt at finding a rat trap. The tunnel ones were awful had them set for weeks any they haven't caught a single rat. The Walmart trap wouldn't kill the poor things and they would suffer. These traps so far have a 100% kill rate, 5 rats in the first day. I will say that these traps have gone off a couple of times with no rat but hey I don't mind. Great traps, worth the money.

Very well worth the money, these traps work, fast and safe to use... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Have tried several other traps to help rid a rat problem in our garage. From the old classic wood traps, to glue traps, etc. The very first night I sat two of these traps and caught 2 rats that night. Set them up again the next night and caught one more. I cant recommend these traps enough to help manage a rat/mice problem... I love the fact that you can preload the bait cup and then sit the trap on the ground and use your foot to set it. No risk of snapping closed on fingers...

Best trap I've tried
I live in a townhouse in Manhattan, and our block has a major rat problem at present. I've tried four types of rat traps: the traditional wooden trap with a metal spring; a trap with a similar design to those, but made entirely of galvanized metal (including the base); and two traps on the same basic design as these. I am using them exclusively outdoors. The wooden traps are cheapest, and I generally just throw them out with the dead rat. They are probably fine for indoor use, but I do not suggest them for outdoor use. The problem is that when they don't catch anything within a few days, the metals parts tend to rust, rendering the trap useless. While they are the cheapest, they aren't cheap enough to justify that. The all-metal ones don't have that problem, and are really quite good. But they are expensive enough that I prefer to reuse them, and removing the dead rat is a pretty nasty task. For that reason, this design (of which I have tried two different versions by different manufacturers) is is my clear favorite. It is the easiest to set, and BY FAR the easiest to dump the rat and reuse the trap. The other brand, though, I had quality problems with that made them non-viable: after a few days, half of them just stopped working. Specifically, they started to go off of their own accord with no trigger, sometimes just a minute or two after being set. With this brand, after weeks of use, I haven't had that problem, which makes it the hands-down winner. While it is my clear favorite, I will note that there is one downside to this basic design, which I observed with both brands. Maybe 30% of the time, these will trap a rat by a paw or its tail, failing to kill it outright. This is rather unpleasant to deal with. I have also had a few of these traps just disappear; I'm pretty sure this happens when a larger rat is trapped in a non-lethal manner, and manages to get away dragging the trap behind itself. (On one occasion, I encountered a trapped rat who was in the process of dragging the trap away, but making very slow progress.) Nonetheless, this is the clear winner in my book.

They work very good!!!
The only trap that actually works to catch rats and mice. I have tried many and non worked. They say to put peanut butter in it. I find putting my chickens scratch feed works best. I set up several around and inside my work shop, around and near my poultry pens. I catch at least one or 2 everytime I set them up at night. Just watch your fingers as they set off easily. Just saying. Lol. I'm very happy with these traps.

Treat them as disposable
Work great they do the job, as fast as quality treat them as disposable they last very little their locking mechanism breaks just with its own tension, from the six I have 2 left all broken from the locking mechanism

This trap does the job! It traps the rats that we are having problems with. Highly recommend.

Effective, but not 100% effective.
Overall they work well, but they are made of 100% plastic which I'm sure plays into the overall effectiveness. I also had some issues with false trips, which I attributed to the plastic heating up in the sun. As far as a clean kill, I suspect these have about a 75-80% success rate, based on sometimes finding the trap a distance away and once finding the critter still alive, but badly injured, in the trap. So be prepared to deal with that about 1-2 times out of 10 if you have a lot of critters you need to eliminate.
