A) this really does work-FAST- for pain and inflammation. B) I read somewhere that "inflammation is decay." So even if you can stand the pain of whatever it is you're dealing with, you can't just sit there and let inflammation rot your body from inside. Here's your answer. C) I had zero side effects, no stomach upset etc. D) I did my graduate work in complementary medicine which tends to make me very skeptical. I'm not going to say something works if it doesn't. I've taken turmeric before and it did nothing but the dirty little secret is that a lot of supplements are just garbage. But this brand seems to be very high quality. I chose Bioschwartz because I had good luck with their mushroom supplement. Moral of the story: for this price point, there is no reason NOT to try this product if you are dealing with pain/inflammation/joint issues. I purchased because of a small rotator cuff tear which I wanted to nip in the bud. After I took the first capsule the pain was completely gone so then I cleverly went and tweaked it again because I thought it was healed. Needless to say, this product works best when you REST the affected area.

This works well for me. There is no after taste. I do take the capsules with food to avoid any stomach issues from the ginger, black pepper, etc. I notice quite a difference in the inflamation in my body when I take these capsules on a regular basis. I used to take several pain pills a day, but with these capsules, the pain is lot less, so less pain pills.

I’ve been taking this Turmeric Curcumin with Black Pepper Extract 1500 mg supplement for a few weeks, and overall I’m pleased with it. The high-strength 95% curcuminoids and added BioPerine black pepper extract seem to help with absorption, and I’ve noticed gentle support in my joints and overall inflammation without any stomach upset. The capsules are easy to swallow, and the Non-GMO label is a plus for me. I didn’t feel an instant dramatic difference, but over time I’ve noticed less stiffness after activity, which is exactly what I was hoping for. If you want a well-formulated turmeric supplement with good absorption, this is a solid choice. I’d give it 4 stars because the effects are helpful but not super strong right away — more like steady, subtle support.

My Condition: Initial injury to neck and shoulder 1993. 3 herniated cervical disk with nerve impingements. Torn rotator cuff with 3 surgeries spread out over 15 years. Micro surgery to elbow (on affected side). Nerve impingements with radiating pain from neck and shoulder into arms and hands. TREATMENTS: 4 surgeries. TO MUCH PAIN MEDICATION, permanently damaged stomach lining (from 17 years of narcotics and anti-inflammatory). AGE 56. Status: Unable to work and have spent last 6 years WITHOUT narcotics, do daily PT for neck, upper back, hands, arms. Meditate. FINDINGS: THIS PRODUCE (Premium Ultra Pure Turmeric Curcumin w/ Bioperine. 1500 mg) has been MORE EFFECTIVE that that ALL the previous Medications I was on for reducing the constant pain of inflammation, especially to my hands (largely from swelling around root nerves in neck, shoulder, elbow (Ulnar, Radial, Distal nerves)…… I HAD BEEN ON 200 to 400 milligrams of Celebrex a day, until I had a small Abdominal Bleed and my Gastroenterologist OREDERED me to stop ALL medication (except a daily anti-depressant, to manage pain related depression). FUNCTIONAL RESULTS: After 10 days, I began to notice a reduction of the intensity of my arm, elbow and hand pain. Turmeric is one of the best herbs of all time. I'm fascinated by herbs and read a lot about them in my free time....and I would say if I had to just pick 2-3 herbs to take (I take like 10 daily.....haha), this would be one of them. I'm including it's benefits below: 1. To start, it prevents blood clotting. Unfortunately, blood clotting becomes common as people age. Doctors will tell you to remedy this by popping a daily aspirin. Don't do it. Aspirin is horrible and does more harm than good to the body when used for a while. Instead, take turmeric. It's just as powerful, if not more so, without the side effects. 2. It's an antidepressant. Studies show it is just as effective as Prozac, but again, without all the nasty side effects. 3. It contains curcumin, one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory compounds in the world. The effects of having chronic inflammation in the body are serious - cancer, arthritis, and chronic pain are just a few. Turmeric keeps the inflammation at bay, warding off the potential for serious diseases. 4. It's amazing for arthritis. Since it's an anti-inflammatory, it is one of the most powerful herbs you can take to relieve arthritis. 5. Perhaps my favorite benefit - it's a cancer treatment. These days more and more people are getting cancer. The sad thing is, it's not surprising with all the crap put into the food supply (antibiotics, steroids, bpa), but that rant is for another day. One of the best things you can do is to take turmeric daily as a cancer preventative. It has the ability to kill cancer cells and prevent them from growing. 6. It's amazing for diabetes. It lowers blood sugar and reverses insulin resistance. 7. It's a gastrointestinal treatment. Any time you take antibiotics, your gut flora will become unbalanced...causing a whole host of other problems. Turmeric helps heal the gut and supports the growth of good bacteria (probiotics). 8. It's a cholesterol regulator. A study done by Drugs in R & D found that curcumin was equal or more effective than diabetes medications at reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in the treatment of high cholesterol. 9. It's a natural painkiller. 10. It can be used in replacement of steroids. There are many conditions out there treated by steroids - psoriasis, Lupus, arthritis, inflammation in the eye, and chronic pain to name a few. The issue is that steroids have A LOT of negative side effects - Acne, asthma, cancer, cataracts, diabetes, delayed wound healing, insomnia, kidney and thyroid malfunction, and I can go on and on. Maybe one problem will be solved with steroid use, but at what cost? It's better to try turmeric at least for a few months to see if it relieves the issue instead. 11. Anti aging and improved brain function. Curcumin happens to be a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals. It also boosts levels of the brain hormone BDNF, which increases the growth of new neurons and fights various degenerative processes in the brain. 12. Preventing Alzheimer's disease. It is known that inflammation and oxidative damage play a role in Alzheimer’s disease. As we know, curcumin has beneficial effects on both. 13. Weight management. Curcumin in turmeric can fasten to capsaicin receptors and increase thermogenesis rates. This leads to greater fat burning and helps with weight loss. Adipose tissues which store fat cells require angiogenesis to provide the required nutrients and oxygen to adipocytes (fat cells), curcumin is said to have anti-angiogenic properties that could reduce fat mass and inhibit fat tissue growth therefore leading to weight loss. I mean c'mon guys! Is this not a miracle herb? The benefits are pretty amazing. One thing to note is that Turmeric should be taken with bioperine (black pepper extract) for maximum absorption. This is why I personally love this brand. It comes with the bioperine already in the formula. I just got my mom to start taking this supplement about a month and a half ago....and so far she says that she feels that she has more mental clarity and is remembering more details that she would have typically never remembered a few months ago. Even if you are healthy as can be, I still recommend taking it for preventative measures....because why not? Amazing to say the least! I have fibromyalgia and it is not fun. For the past 6 months I was constant pain, from head to my toes - my bones hurt, my joints hurt, it was bad. I felt like an eighty year old in a 50 year old body. Long story short, I came across this product and after reading tons of reviews, I thought, what do I have to lose? So I ordered a bottle. It arrived fast and I tried it immediately. That was almost a month ago. At first, well the first three days, I took 3 capsules 2x's a day, then went to 3 capsules once a day. So what happened when I took it? The results were immediate for me. I was shocked! Seriously, I was stunned, but in a good way. I could feel the pain going away almost instantly. I thought it was some sort of a "placebo effect" so I needed to give it time just in case I was losing it... But it kept working and working and working. I went from taking Tylenol or anything in that category every single night and day too, just to help with the pain. My doctor wanted to put me on Provigil but my insurance would not cover it until I went to a "specialist" (yeah, health care is that messed up). But it worked out for the best because I was in enough pain to send me on my own search, which lead me to this product. Here are my results (and they were immediate for me) 1. Pain GONE! Completely. That in and of itself is amazing! 2. My quality of sleep has improved dramatically! I also have CFS, so sleep quality is super important - I will say, this does not help with CFS (nothing that I'm aware of does or has) 3. This incredible sense of well being - I don't take anti-depressants... doctor's tried to get me to take those for CFS but they always backfired on me - always. I am not a candidate for antidepressants. But this sense of well-being is what I would imagine antidepressants are supposed to do. 4. My appetite. I'm not a person with weight issues, but this does curb my appetite. 5. It's all natural and you an tell! It's not like taking prescriptions drugs, which I hate anyway. this is natural - and it just feels right. So this has been my experience. I just ordered my second bottle. I realize that everyone is different and has different needs and one size does not fit all, but if you can relate at all to this and are on the fence, give it a shot. It might surprise you like it has shocked me. I'll never go without this product again - not as long as it works. It's that amazing. I was not paid to give this review and I did not receive a free bottle. I just want the world to know that this product is simply amazing!

Capsules are big, but not hard to swallow. I have not noticed ant difference in the way I feel or my body feels since I started taking them several months ago. I have not noticed any taste or flavor when taking them

I’ve been taking this for a few years now and can vouch for its anti inflammatory properties and standardization. I can really tell when I forget to take a dose, or two as my joints and tendons act up. I’m sensitive to things like ibuprofen and get a particular tight feeling in my chest if I’ve taken too much. I get the same feeling if I take too much turmeric. With other brands I’ve unexpectedly hit that point but not with this one. So, I know their dosage and concentration is repeatable, standardized and accurate - unlike the others. This is a good product, one that I landed on by trial and error, and I have seen no need to try any other brands after I found this one. It has been found (by me) to be reliable over the last 5 years or so and dozens of bottles.
