Q: can i use this underneath normal deodorant? or does it need to be used on its own?

Sounds like a personal issue to me. I find it works standalone. After you get out of the shower and your damp is the time to use it under your arms. I'm concerned about what other deodorants have in them. I have occasionally reapplied it by wetting it but typically it's a good product, but it's really hot in Florida and I don't need to use it but once a day typically. Also typically work inside.
