Power - does this support 240volts in the UK?

We live in the UK and got this for our dad. It's not a UK plug fitting, so we just got a converter plug as well. It worked fine for us.

Bought in America Made in China ?

How strange that I order from Amazon UK an item that is sold as coming from America and yet it is made in China and boxed up for use in America ! It was exported from America añd transported by DHL then given to EVRI to deliver to my house only for them to deliver it to a house 200 yards from where I live leaving a kind person to have to carry it to my house and then for me to find it has an American plug on it meaning that I can't use it !
