The unit has a number of fancy features like keeping a record of temperatures and also monitoring humidity, but we just use it for one function - spot checking the temperature, while traveling and it performs this function flawlessly via the associated app. Installation consisted of inserting a battery, and connecting to the WiFi, and then registering it with the app, all of which was pretty uneventful. Subsequent use is just as easy - open the app, look at the temperature and then close the app. The n=unit seems to be accurate as well, registering temperatures +- half a degree relative to our home thermostat.
