Is there an opalescent look to the nail veil?

No. I can only comment on shade 4. It has a slightly pink color. It is like clear with a light pink cast. There is a nice shine to the nail after application. One coat is sufficient. Sometimes I use a second coat.

Does this come off with standard nail polish remover? Or is it like no chip gel?

How is this veil different from Kur nail concealer?

I've never used the concealer but the veil is a translucent coating with a light pink cast. I use it alone with no polish. Gives nails a subtle "cared for" appearance.
