THANK YOU!! Everything came out great. It shipped on time and the product (body measuring tape) was exactly as described. I was able to measure myself so easily and measurements come in either standard inches or centimeters. I thought the item was going to be bigger but I was (pleasantly) surprised it was smaller because this was it was more portable to take along and put in a suitcase without it taking up too much space. The body tape measure itself is solid and the recoil function is neither too tight nor too loose. It’s just right. I believe circumference measuring is a much better way to determine gains made in losing body fat (especially the waist) and gaining muscle and this item is a valuable tool to easily measure progress towards goals. Couple this with a fat-measuring body weight scale and you have a powerful duo of data to help achieve goals. Thank you!

This is my second tape like this, but first from Lightstuff. It is very well designed and it looks like the design on this one addresses the issues that caused my last one to break . I’ve had it for a few months, I use it weekly and have had zero issues.

This tape measure is very simple and easy to use. You push and hold the button and pull out the tape. Release the button and it will lock the tape out. Place it around your body and hook the end in the slot. Push and hold the button snd it retracts. Once its snug against your body, release the button and it again locks in place. Unhook the end and read the tape. Super simple. I docked one star because the spring is kinda week so it does not retract as smooth as I would like.

I've now tried five different brands of self-measuring tape, and this one--from Lightstuff--is the only one that provides an accurate measurement. Two of the others contract too tightly, squeezing so much that that they give a measurement 1/8 to 1/2 inch smaller than accurate. One of the others both contracts too tightly and nonetheless consistently provides a number 1/8 to 1/4 inch *greater* than accurate. All three of those tapes also stop only in increments of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. The remaining tape contracts appropriately--not too tightly, not too loose--and stops contracting when it meets the appropriate resistance, rather than in increments, but it's numbers are simply incorrect: every alleged inch on the tape is actually about 15/16 of an inch. The Lightstuff tape is the only one I've found so far that A) doesn't contract too tightly, B) stops contracting not in increments, but when it meets the appropriate resistance, and C) is accurate in scale: an inch really is an inch. Consequently, the Lightstuff tape is the only one that provides an accurate measurement. I don't know how durable it is (I've had it for only a short while), but I'm entirely satisfied with it so far.

The measurements stop at 60 inches. Not meant for those who are plus size.

I would have given this product 4.5 if I could have, because it is not perfect - as some reviewers have pointed out, the end of the tape measure jumps out of the socket pretty easily, which can be annoying. But in general it works pretty well, and for the price it is a good deal. It's much easier to use for taking body measurements than a standard tape measure. Up until now I did not know that they made special tape measures for this purpose and I'm glad to learn this!

I love this tape measurer. It is easy to use and the measurements are accurate. It starts at 3 inches because that is how wide the plastic part is. It is not incorrect. I like that I can clip it together to get an accurate measurement of the body part I am measuring. Would recommend

Bought this to take measurements for my toddler. It was perfect! Did the job in 5 mins. It’s soft against the skin so the toddler wasn’t fussed about us measuring him. Great product

Arrived quickly. The first 2 inches are not marked to account for the space taken up by the machine when measuring (ie the distance between where the tape comes out and where the end of the tape slots back onto the machine). The remaining markings match up with a standard rape measure. It retracts the tape to a sensible spot then holds it there. Very easy for one person to use. Bit fiddly to keep the end of the tape in its holder. The tape would be improved by making the peg bigger/ hole smaller so that it doesn't slip out so easily. Other than that great so far.
