GOOD SEEDS
It was my first time trying to grow pumpkins. I prepared the ground, planted the seeds in nice straight rows, watered, tended and watched with much anticipation. These seeds sprouted in days. They grew, they flowered but they did not fruit nor did they spread. Now, I am pretty sure it was the layout I made. I didn't space them properly as I was just looking to see if I could grow them. Which, of course, they technically did. I talked with someone at a local shop and we may have figured out the problem. I am going to try again this year with a different battle plan.

Excellent germination rate; good quality; good cold tolerance
I'm very pleased with the germination rate and vigor of these spinach seeds. I got a 90+% germination rate which for spinach is quite good. As with any spinach seed, it's important to prepare the seeds before planting. There are a number of ways to do this -- lots of info online as to options. The method I've used for years with great results is: 1. Soak the seeds for 24 hours at room temp. 2. Drain and spread them out on a paper towel to dry. 3. Once they are fully dry (takes about a day) I put them in an airtight container in the fridge for 24 to 48 hours on top of a slight damp paper towel. 4. Take them out and plant outdoors. I use a planting depth of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. (optional step 5: cover the planting bed with scrap window screening to keep the squirrels out. They like to bury their nuts for winter in freshly worked garden beds which will totally mess up all your planting efforts.) Keep in mind that spinach will only germinate in soil that is below 70'ish degrees F, so this is a spring or fall crop only. I live in an area with hot, humid summers, so I only do a fall planting (in Sept and/or early Oct). This variety (Bloomsdale) is quite cold tolerant and does well even with frost with minimal protection. Good quality seeds at a decent price -- five stars.

Great seeds
Good germination but unfortunately the deer and rabbits ate everything before I could see them fully developed

100% Within a few days
I've ordered several batches of these and they germinate very easily and quickly within a few days all of them. Because I'm in a cold climate year-round, I usually start them indoors in a moist paper inside a plastic sandwich bag. I'm a beginner so I've only been able to get a few plants growing to maturity in the greenhouse outside, and only now do I see them putting out good size cucumber fruits. They must be self pollinating because the greenhouse is closed all the time. I see one has grown to at least 6 inches long and 1/2 inch or 2 inch diameter so far. I was surprised to see it grow through our winter here in San Francisco.

The yield is worth the investment.
I like this brand of seeds. I planted the Georgia collards in my raised bed in the fall and had a huge crop!. Enough to share with neighbors. I sowed them by cutting the leaves and leaving the roots and they kept producing. Even with frost. Thought I'd try the Vates this time. BTW, They grow great in buckets too.

Great yield
Buying bean sprouts at a store is a hassle for us here. These sprout great, have a high yield and are perfect. I did not see any ungerminated sprouts.
