Somehow we lost the hitch pin that attaches the utility cart to our riding mower. I’ve been using a bolt and a nut, which is very inconvenient. An Amazon search came up with this pin as an option. I really like the looks of it, including the bright yellow handle. Should I get dropped somewhere, I thought it would be much easier to see. Indeed it is. It also comes with the retaining clip. The feature that really sold me is the magnet under the base of the handle. It keeps the clip from rattling and is seriously strong. I’m pretty sure this would stay in place without the retaining clip. It’s not going anywhere. The price was good and the performance is superb. If you’re looking for a hitch pin for your riding mower, this is the one to get.

This is a great magnetized hitch pin. The magnet is strong to where the cotter key is not needed. I'm using this on my 6' lawn cart and forsee no problems.

Actually, this is super cool. Lost my rod and pin working in the yard so came to Amazon to order replacement and found this. The coated handle is a nice touch. I love that it’s thoughtful on design, convince and functionality. The magnet is strong. The quality feels great. I showed it to my dad and he was also impressed. Fit was perfect on my mower and trailer. Super easy to use. I leave mine on my mower for storage.

Pin has a super strong magnet and I can't imagine it would be able to loosen off on its own. I've been using this on an ATV trailer that is exclusively off road on rough terrain and there's no way it would come loose on its own. You need to give it a good sharp tug to get it to release which is perfect. Knocking off one star because the adhesive holding the magnet broke it's hold on the very first use. I used a strong epoxy to keep the magnet on the pin and it hasn't come off ever since.

I only used it a couple of times but it worked great. Not having to bend down and put in the retaining clip is great since I have knee issues. I don't know how long the magnetism will last as I keep it on the trailer but we'll see. I'm thinking it won't work up and out because it is so long.

It’s very well built, has some weight to it so you can tell it’s not just another cheap pin. I also like the magnet, it holds the pin to the hitch well and stops any rattling around.
