I have only used this for one trip, so can't comment on reliability (yet) but it's a good little kettle. It's great for hotel rooms etc. without kettles. The boil time is not bad, even if not the same as the real thing, and the volume a good balance between enough to be useful and not so much that the thing is huge. It's not a small thing to toss into any bag, but it's well designed and with the cable inside is tolerably compact. It does need real care in use - not to scald yourself, not to spill it, being very careful not to overfill (I needed to go slightly under the max line). Since it has no handle and no spout, and since pulling the cord can result in tipping it up, it would be a lot easier to spill or burn yourself than using a real kettle. That said, it was brilliant for me, great for tea and great for rehydrating food.

NB: the noise in the video is the washing machine, not this product; although the video is 1 min and 30 seconds, it takes precisely 5 mins for water to boil. Then - as you can see from the video - it automatically switches itself off. I’m a teacher and I love a coffee at work in the morning; however, break times should not involve having to dart across the playground for a hot drink, followed by speed-walking back to my classroom, trying desperately not to spill the beverage in the race against the clock. That’s why I LOVE my electric ⚡️ mug! I turn it on five minutes before the end of the lesson, and by the time the bell goes and the kids are gone, the water has boiled. Then I pour it over a ground coffee bag, let it brew for a minute, and voilà: a decent cup of coffee ☕️, without the rush and tear.

I bought this travel flask specifically because of the automatic off function. I didn’t want it continuing to boil while I was away or out of the room, or in case I forgot. I’ve discovered that yes, it goes off automatically…but then it goes on again. And off again. And on again. Over and over until you press the off button… which defeats the purpose. Wouldn’t recommend.

I bought this kettle for a trip to Navarra and the Basque Country because I knew that very few hotels in those regions provide tea and coffee making facilities. The kettle fits neatly into a suitcase, boils water reasonably quickly and without mess. A perfect travelling solution.

Excellent. I can now boil water on holiday and drink decent tea.

Took this cute kettle to Italy with me and it worked a treat. After boiling, if you close the tab the hot water stays that way for ages. I noticed It doesn’t reboil so you have to use that water or refill with cold water before you boil again. But no issues and would take it everywhere.
