Sparky's Best Friend
Is this expensive? YES! Does it work? YES! Will it save your hands in the long run? YES! If your looking at this product, I am assuming your a sparky. We, as electrician's, spend a good 1/4 of our carriers twisting joints. We twist for J-boxes, for devices, for switches... and the list goes on... That repetitive motion will eventually mess our hands up. We sometimes get lazy with our joints and later have to trouble shoot because of it! This saves your hands, gets the job done right, and gets it done fast. The construction is so solid, I would be surprised if you had to replace because of wear and tear.

The bit doesn't fit in an impact. But if you use a milwaukee double sided bit. It will.
Great for braiding wire and spinning wire nuts. The bit it comes with did not fit in my impact

Works well. Don't need another bit...
This works well on stranded or solid wire. I tried it on 4 #12 stranded. Took 2 seconds and done. You don't need to buy an additional bit to make it fit in your driver. Just grind the supplied phillips end down until it clicks into your gun. This costs too much for what it is, but it works fine.

Twists wires and nuts very well. Spring-ball chuck & bit needs improvement.
The tool twists wires and nuts very well. Spring-ball chuck & bit needs improvement. It twists most wire nuts up to Ideal Twister Gray wire nuts, and works best on nuts with splines on the outer cover. It works on smooth nuts if the wings insert into the tool. It works on smooth nuts if you push really hard but, once tight the nut will spin and shred pretty quickly. It does not work on the large Ideal Wing-Nut blue. The tool comes with a removable 1/4in double-ended Phillips #2 bit, which locks into a 1/4in quick-change chuck found on 1/4in impact drivers. The bit is NOT your standard 1/4in quick-change spring-ball locking bit as it is too long from the tip to the detent to work. I use it with multi-bit screwdrivers, drills, poorly in my impact driver, or use another screwdriver bit.It is heavy duty compared to the plastic nut twisters which can break apart, however the spring-ball is failing, only holding the bit in half of the time so it falls on the floor often.PROS*Twists wires together*Twists wire nuts*includes #2 Phillips for tightening receptacle and switch screws.CONS*After about 50 or so uses the tools spring-ball chuck got jammed.*Now the twister tool chuck only locks onto the bit 50% of the time. Then, 50% of the time it locks, it falls off the bit causing me to go up and down a ladder constantly wasting too much time.*The included bit doesn't lock into 1/4in quick-connect spring-ball chucks because the tip of the bit to the detent is too long for 1/4in Milwaukee Impact Drivers and Ridgid Impact Drivers.*You have to use another brand of bit or use a drill with an adjustable chuck.*I wish it was large enough for the big blue nuts.

Used to be good
The quality of this tool deteriorated badly over the last two years. In the picture is the tool I bought 2 years ago (left) and the same tool now (right). See the difference for yourself. The wall thickness changed stunningly for the worse. The tool now is flimsy and rattles a lot. Got a replacement and it's the same. Shame. Used to be a great tool.
