nice quality, easy install/uninstall, very effective at blocking sun and rain for my exterior door.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This awning was the perfect size, style and price for my needs. It is not wind-rated, though, so I do have to take it down for hurricanes!! I've taken it down twice with no difficulty at all (other than the inherent fear of dropping one of those oh-so-tiny set screws at the wall mount! I even put down a sheet just in case!)

Easy to assemble
This is a sturdy, well made metal awning. We are in the midst of a strong winter storm and high winds. It was assembled by me an elderly woman and hung up with the help of my son. It is still standing firm in the midst of this winter storm. Sure glad I got it installed before the storm hit in Oct. 2024. I would recommend this awning to even unexperienced installers. I plan to buy another Nulmage awning for another door! Excellent quality at a great price!

Gets the job done.... not super fun putting together.
I moved to a place that gets full sun on the back door and cooks the back porch going into the kitchen in the summer. The roofline changes near the door so I had specific size requirements plus an out-swinging screen door. This awning fit the bill. It cuts the sun and heat down quite a bit and it's nice having a rain cover.I will say... it was not fun putting together. The instructions were OK but the video was more help. Crimping the metal after all the pieces are together is a must. I used a pair of blunt end pliers. The toughest part was setting the curved arms onto the metal and getting the holes to line up where it meets the front of the awning. They straight up warn you parts will fit tight. So tight it took several swear words and a dead blow hammer to coerce parts into place. Once assembled it's lightweight to move and install and fairly solid with a little flex. The mounting bracket went up easily. I had a little trouble with the support arms as the siding on one side of the door was a different depth than the other side. I wound up making a shim for one bracket and shaving a little off the opposing support arm with a hacksaw. No fault of the awning... just an old house with add-ons and quirk.Primary goal was light and heat and for that, it does a great job. After a few days of spring rain I noticed water drips from the holes in the curved arm part that are meant for optional side pieces. I will have to silicone those before fall and make a small adjustment so the rain runs out of the front gutter in the direction I want it to instead of both ends.Overall, I am glad I bought this. It will hold up for years longer than the polycarbonate or fabric door shades. Lightweight but sturdy quality. Plus, you have multiple options for whatever angle you want it at depending on which way your door swings. I really like that it does what it's designed for and clears the top of the screen door with inches to spare.

Looks great and super sturdy; great value
This awning, with the sides, is absolutely beautiful! I had a little problem assembling it at first because I wasn't really reading the assembly instructions carefully. It was the direction of the panels that got me. But, once I CAREFULLY read the instructions, I found it quite easy. I just can't rush over it (like I did) and think I can do it without really paying attention. But I'm very happy with it now. It's very sturdy, looks great and when it rains the water falls off it gracefully. I used it as a window awning for 48" window and its SO NICE 👍🏼 and keeps the sun out of the window. The top piece is about 2" above the window on the trim wood, and the sides come down just a hair wider at about 49" (to clear the window frame) and it looks great this way.

Takes two people to assemble.
With two people to assemble and mount this awning was quite easy to put up. I have two windows that I placed these awnings over and they look and work perfectly. It’s been two years and no issues. Great product!

Easy to assemble. Looks good. No leaks.
I like that the aluminum won't fade or tear or wear out. I thought it might be noisy in the rain, but it is no louder than the rain on the roof. All in all, it looks great, works well and should last a very long time.

Cool Metal Awning
This is a cool metal awning. It worked just perfect over my garage door. It took a little bit to assemble and you might need two people to help jockey the pieces in place. AND, there is a FANTASTIC video of how to assemble on You Tube called. "How To Assemble And Install A NuImage Door / Window Awning, Canopy" by someone called Struggleville2. If I had not seen that video it would have taken half a day to put the thing together and up. LOL In my defense, I never was very good at written directions. I am a VISUAL learner. Ha! I highly recommend watching this video as you are putting it together, he makes it very simple!Anyway, this is super fantastic. I thought it a bit flimsy at first and I may have to amend my review after a wind/rain storm. Oh, and DO NOT BUY the metal piece that they say goes above the awning to deflect the rain. It is a "bottom door seal" and while it WOULD have been a perfect addition to keep the rain from seeping between little cracks of the siding onto the top of the door....it is not long enough to cover the entire awning. STUPID! So, don't waste your money on that nonsense!Overall I would give it 4 stars...but, again, I might have to amend that after the first stiff wind or rain storm comes along.
