We love Smash Up and purchased this in the spirit of conpletism. We love the new base cards that keep track of points.We wish there were some cool meeples included for point tracking, but we just repurposed some from other games.Most of the box is wasted space, as is the case with most of the Smash Up series (excepting the Big Geeky Boxes). We wish Alderac would be a bit more waste conscious with the box designs, but on the upside they are super sturdy and fun so will last for a lifetime of upcycked gift boxing.As for the game, ten years on it's it's still our favorite.

I have heard that some people don't like the big base mode, but I thought it was good fun.

Great game series. Its very creative and you can build your deck to mirror your strategy style. Half the game is building a good combo and the other half is executing it. Loads of fun.And while there are expansions to increase your options, everyone plays from the same box of cards so you do not need to spend hundreds of dollars buying rare cards. Its all included and a well balanced game.Complex enough to be a challenge and easy enough not to take hours to learn. I place it in my top 10 for any gamer looking for a new small group game.

It’s a fun game so we collect the expansion packs, a great gift for an avid smash up player. The 10th anniversary I would say was bought partially because we needed a larger box to hold cards which it doesn’t provide card holding spaces and the packs inside were not enough to justify my purchase as a typical pack for around 20-30 comes with 4-5 factions.

As long as you have and understand the base game this is an awesome addition

The two new factions are cool, but people who care about an anniversary edition most likely already have Sheep, and the new world champs faction is basically just 20 old cards repurposed.Overpriced but still worth it for hardcore fans that want these two new fun, cool factions. Everyone else should buy literally any other expansion... except Disney.
