I was hunting for a martingale that was durable and highly visible. I live in WA so many of my opportunities for walks are in the dark or low light rainy days. Love that this set up his reflective, bright, and incredibly sturdy. My greyhound and I have accidentally found ourselves in a couple close calls and this collar saved the day without a doubt. For example- neighbor let’s their small angry dog out in front yard pee and it attacks? Martingale is the reason I still have my dog! Dump truck applies the air brake and the sound sends greyhound into a panic? Martingale is the reason I still have my dog!! Set your dog up for the best experience but acknowledge that the world is unpredictable!

Very nice "slip on/slip off" collar. You adjust it to snuggly slip on and off over your pups noggin... this is NOT a stake-out collar. There is no buckle on this collar. Once on, this type collar cinches when the D-ring is pulled, but being extra wide it doesn't choke or pinch. Just a little more reminder for knuckle headed pups like my boxer who occasionally forgets she isn't a sled dog. But having been dealing with dogs for 40 years, I feel you will be hard pressed to find a nicer collar in this style; this really is a nice one. It stays sized where you size it to, and it's thick but soft and pliable with heavy hardware. My only wish would be a separate smaller D-ring for tags and whatnot.

This collar is a great reflective collar. Also is break proof. The only problem is that being so wide it does work quite so well correcting the dogs pulling. Also would keep loosing up. Also with normal wear and tear some of the reflection is coming off

This is the second set of collars from “If It Barks”. I have two dogs. The martingale collars with a buckle are great. I recommend this company and their products. Substantial quality in all products I’ve purchased.

It's not easy to find a highly reflective martingale with snap buckle, in a size that fits our giant dog, but this collar checks all the boxes! Things we love: 1. Goes on and off easily thanks to the snap release buckle, so we don't have to tug the collar over our dog's head and we can release him quickly in an emergency. 2. Soft and flexible. The wider width means pressure is more evenly distributed around the throat/neck when he pulls, so it's safer for our dog's trachea and spine. 3. VERY visible in headlights and flashlights. Excellent for nighttime walks. 4. The turqoise color looks great. Overall we're really pleased with this collar and highly recommend it to anyone with an xl dog who walks at night. We'll update this review regarding durability after the collar has had more wear. But even if we have to replace this every year it's well worth the investment for the comfort and safety features!

This collar is amazing. Everything I’ve been looking for and couldn’t find anywhere. Comfortable, durable, stylish (love the thick cut), safety with knowing my boy can’t get loose, and can be seen in the dark, plus the ease of a snap buckle. Would 100% recommend. I hope they come out with more cute colors and patterns. Thank you!

Had one of these collars for our senior dog and it was great but got one a few weeks ago and it has torn almost in two. Barely lasted a month. I don’t know if it was defective or if the product has gone down in quality to this. I can’t return it because it’s been too long and apparently lack of quality is not a reason for replacement.

Okay, so first off let me start off by saying that I eyed up this collar for awhile, but hesitated because of the price. We are training our goldendoodle to be a service dog for our son with severe autism, and our trainer had recommended a 1.5” martingale collar. From reading other reviews (soo many reviews) on other brands, I noticed a trend of other brands being low quality and not lasting long; so I was hesitant to splurge on a collar. But, I was sold on the reflective description. Let me tell you what, this collar is worth every penny! It is SOOO reflective and the quality is awesome! You can tell it’s super durable, and so far, it seems to be holding up very well to all of our dog’s spontaneous pulling while he learns to heel properly. I will be recommending this brand to everyone! Also, the only other thing I wish I would have known of before my purchase, if you go onto their actual website ifitbarks .com (no space, of course), they have even more customizable options for their collars, such as getting the buckle engraved for an additional cost. Again, if you’re hesitant like I was, just go for it!
